Man....it really sucks that both Diggs and Dell got hurt last season. That WR core was ELITE.

CJ has Collins and that's pretty much it. The rookies are ok, Hutch is ok...but our secondary overall is very easy to defend.

If Mixon was healthy the offense would look a lot better, probably only have 2 losses and home field advantage. Yes they need to draft a stud LG/RB and a TE. Higgins is strating to come around. The reason for his lack of catches yesterday was because of formations and that they mainly used Kirk in the slot. Kirk and Nico were the 1st 2 options on most passing plays with Schultz as the outlet. That's why Higgins was a non factor yesterday.

I'll be happy if he can win 2 superbowls with the Texans like Eli with Giants.

I’ve noticed CJ doesn’t scramble as much since he’s returned from his injury. 13 carries for 15 yds post concussion.

He’s just not a scrambler. He is very much a pocket guy. He’s been moving better in the pocket, but still has been inaccurate.
And honestly I would prefer him not to if he can’t take safe hits (even though that one was BS)

Maybe we need to hire Rivers to coach CJ.

He has a hurt middle finger, which may be affecting his throws. Texans have been quiet about it, but you can see his middle finger with some kind of wrap/bandage.

If CJ had CMC, Kittle, and Kyle Shanahan calling plays he would be doing much better.

That said, look at what Philip Rivers is doing. He has an elite football mind and you can notice how much quicker he is at processing than CJ is. He has half the talent of current CJ but 2x the mind.

Um, Jonathon Taylor and TE Warren. Overall, Colts receivers are better than what the Texans have. Also, Rivers has run that offense for YEARS and even coached it in HS. I would hope he knows it.

Man, just have CJ have the savvy and command of the offense old man Rivers has and I will be all in.......the dude may be toast, but he can still command the huddle and his knowledge is off the carts.............Rivers is kind of fat, old as F, hasn't played in 5 years, and that throwing motion is ugly, but the old man gets it done, color me impressed

Pfft. I know he’s a lifelong NFL insider, but Alex Smith wasn’t even all that good a QB. I would rather defer to Bobby and DD’s opinions. They speak so confidently and post so repetitively that they must be right that CJ is mediocre at best.

This along with playing defense is why they're winning games. CJ's not playing particularly well, but he's doing these things and coming up big at the end of games. It's just enough to win games and is the right formula for this team to be as good as it can be IMHO.

Totally agree, the Colts have so many more weapons/better weapons than the Texans have. Rivers has never run a Steichen offense as far as I know. CJ has been running this offense all yr so this excuse is no longer valid. However CJ's improving as the yr has gone along (Excluding the Raiders game) lets hope the improvement continues.
