While you are waiting for Amen's big step, the Spurs have lapped you and OKC is so far ahead you can't see them.

Good for them. You cannot control other teams getting lucky in the lottery with a generational talent, and another team that spent the past two decades reaping the benefit of drafting 3 hall of fame players in 3 years and when those three players left, was able to set the table for that GM to accumulate the largest haul of talent, and assets the league has ever seen.

OKC is good because Seattle/OKC got lucky in the draft with KD/Russ/Harden all of those years ago. That luck is what led to them being able to flip those disgruntled hall of famers into what is now the OKC Thunder.

Like judging the Rockets based on SA and OKC is ridiculous. The Rockets cannot chase that sort of good fortune by making trades for washed up stars that WE ALL KNOW suck in the playoffs. Let me say that again.... WE KNOW HARDEN CANNOT PERFORM IN THE PLAYOFFS. Like that is a fact beyond dispute.

F what other teams are doing. Build your own future with accumulating talent, picks, and developing players. Build for the next 20 years. Not the next 30 games.

Ok well the rest of us live in reality. Okc is younger, better and are about to get a top 3 pick in a loaded draft at the end of the year

Also they got nothing back from snake d. What they achieved has nothing to do with luck

Drafting KD, Russ, and Harden was good fortune, but yes the rest of what Presti did to build what he did is just straight up great management yes.

But great mgmt. happened by NOT overreacting, being opportunistic, being PATIENT, developing players, and managing assets better than anyone in the league.

OKC is what they are today because of asset mgmt more than anything. Yet what you are asking for is the opposite of that. Look at what you used as a qualifier:

    -Youth
    -Developed talent
    -Draft assets

You are saying it yourself while saying with the other side of your mouth that the Rockets should get older, use draft assets, and sacrifice talent to try and beat a team that the player you want to acquire has no ability to beat... ESPECIALLY in the playoffs.

You want to out youth and out asset a team that is younger and has more picks than us. You understand how little sense that makes? There is no opportunity. All you are doing is kicking the can down the road

I agree harden isnt enough for this team. Personally I would rather get harden, giannis and any other buy low players possible and hope to steal a year then do nothing. Obviously fire ime too but thats never happening

Such a bad narrative let’s stop trashing one of the greatest players in our franchise history. He had monster games and some really bad games. A lot was due to fact that he was a one man show most of his career as his second best player was always injured in the playoffs. Some bad luck sprinkled in with not adjusting. And with as bad as he played why did it take all time great teams to beat him? Like spurs and warriors are 2 of the 5 best teams ever in history of league
