it took the rockets to shoot 54% from threes to beat the nuggets. when you shoot like that, of course you're going to beat every team.

however, the rockets are not going to shoot 50% from threes every game.

You make a great point, Reed actually got to play through his defensive mistakes tonight for the most part, and I hope it helps with confidence, if nothing else. If these early season losses means that our guys get more experience and grow faster, it makes it a lot easier to stomach.

I hope I look back on my very sad posts in a month or so and say "well, I'm glad that **** is behind us!"

I think KD is the problem because without him these loses are OK. We wouldnt have expected much from this team. We would be young fun to watch and growing. I enjoyed watching us last year. I generally hate our games now. They refuse to give Sengun the ball in the post this year BECAUSE OF DURANT.

Can you really start Okogie if he offers nothing offensively?

No, but he can actually do something to get his players open shots to improve their ability to make them.

Edit: sorry Roomba I misread your comment, I didn't realise you say he has not done this well.

This might have been more frustrating than the Pelicans one. The meltdowns are becoming a trend now

Yes, because he can't create a shot or move off ball and he aims for high. Which is okay from his perspective, but the coach is supposed to stop him from taking those shots.

Bari is a bottle neck in our offense. You can see it when Tari comes in, we get a lot of fluidity because he can move with and without the ball. Bari is still fine, if he is limited to taking open shots and making them. But when he can't he has literally zero value because he doesn't make anyone else better.

Yes, but being put in position to make easier shots is key to this.

Sure, my intention was not to pin it on one guy. I largely see it on Ime though.

This is such a stupid comment.

Go watch the game again and comment how many points were actually scored on Sengun.

Tell us how many rebounds the rookie C got whilst Sengun was boxing him out.

What a piss poor commentary of the game, almost like you don't know what you just watched, or you're perhaps biased in some way.

The Pelicans game stung more ....but yes, the Rockets cannot beat lesser teams consecutively when there is no rest or practice.

As the season goes on, you see teams tanking and teams striving for the Play In, it is obvious.

Yup I had a dream we were 17-9 last week and here we are going 1-3 this week. I don’t see a huge problem sine it’s a long season and better to loose bottom feeder so we don’t hurt our chance in standing tiebreaker. if we can bounce back next week since we basically playing half of the roster in B2B (Adam out, Tari min restrict, DFS hurt, Reed conditioning problem, and Amen lacks that extra gear).

Pelicans are the worst team in west last week.

Kings are the worst team in west this week.

    Lmao.

We kept saying we needed a closer, and we went and got KD, but in the clutch he’s been a turnover machine. Bari always chokes free throws late, and honestly the whole team struggles at the line in big moments. Bari shouldn’t be taking more than 12 shots a game.

Im saying I wanted our team to grow naturally and not force ourselves to try to be contenders too soon and with or without fred this wouldnt work. If fred is the difference then we were never gonna be contenders. Our young guys arent in their prime yet we are still a developing team and I think Stone **** the bed.

I mean the expectations come with the territory of just being a better team, that's a good thing. Being a bad team isn't fun.

Sengun can't post up much because he can't get the ball in his spots, we need a PG.

Reed can play some PG for sure but he's not ready, not for what we want to do this year. It just sucks we lost FVV but think about it this way.

Take ANY team that's contending and remove a full time starter, they too would have big issues, so this isn't some surprise here. People are way too hard on the org there, not like they took out FVVs ACL, they should have probably not signed Capela though lol we NEED a PG.

A lot of these issues fix themselves with a PG, at least we'd get guys playing in their natural positions again and that's big.

Sengun missed some easy baskets in the clutch as well...outside of the Magic game, Sengun is not great in creating his own shot in clutch moments. Ime has to get better at late game adjustments...the ball should've been more in Amen’s hand when they were in full court pressure. He was getting downhill to the basket at ease. Schroeder clamped up Reed in the 2nd half
