Why does this bust keep getting all the minutes in clutch time? -19 in a 1 point loss. WTF

 

Or anyone who doesn't just dribble down the shot clock really.

 

He shot like 8 fadeaway mid ranges all wasted possessions

 

Doesn't matter who you play. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. No game is a certain win.

They all have talent.

 

We need a steady point guard. All of these collapses and stupid turnovers that are killing this team can be attributed to not having a floor general. Fred is probably watching this punching the air because he knows if he was out there this level of low IQ basketball would not be happening.

Time to bench bari and just start tari. It worked last year.

 

Also I'm so tired of Tari making dumb defensive mistakes (like when he fouled the Cavs and got lucky they missed the free throws last season, or when he fouled somebody else that I forget and caused us to lose the game). His instincts and hustle are top notch but he can be a bonehead more often than not.

 

Yeah I would have taken Reed out the moment Schroeder started attacking him...but you know everyone wants Reed to play through his defensive mistakes...and Ime did that tonight, he let him play through his mistakes win or lose.

I think the point of KD is just his experience and guys being with a player like that, you learn from it.

I don't think KD is the problem we NEED a vet PG in the worst way if we want to win this year. It can't be FVV this year obviously but it has to be someone. If we had a vet PG we never give up that lead because he settles things down and doesn't let the Kings go on a 12 point run. That was the game right there, they went on a 9 or 12-0 run. With KD and Sengun out there that is inexcusable.

They need to get a vet PG ASAP.

Has looked solid, deserves a chance, but likely will not be given one. We need a PG with some experience. We have contracts that can be traded with draft picks. I don't know who is out there, but with KD struggling to beat the double during high pressure situations and none of our guards being able to handle to on ball pressure, we really do have to make a move if we want to hopefully have some success in the playoffs. I never saw us as title contenders this season, but we aren't that far off, just need to bring in someone that can help.

 

Yes, and Bari's a one-direction turnaround guy, so the D is right there. But these losses can't be pinned on one player (or the coach). They all need to do some serious soul searching, get in the gym, and solve some things.

 

Well, we can at least use this season to see how guys like Reed, Tari, and Amen improve. And also if DFS contributes

 

There’s zero hustle on this team. A no name rookie had a double double against our “All Star” Center.

We also get a double digit lead in the second half and think we can just coast. We continue to look like we have no plan on offense when things start getting dicey.

This team constructed the way it is now should not expect to go deep in the playoffs at all unless they make a major move before the deadline.

 

Reed plays shaky when Durant is on the court because I bet Ime is telling him to give KD the ball. When KD was out attack mode Reed went to work. That’s what we need. Just play aggressive and live and die with results.

 

if you have fred out there you wouldn’t need much from KD on a b2b.

 

We were a solid playoff team last year, and I was happy for that.

There’s no point in trading for a 37 year old Durant to just be a solid playoff team. That doesn’t even make sense for any team building strategy at all.

That’s what is so unbelievably frustrating, because a lot of us were realistic and didn’t like the trade. Not because we were in love with Jalen Green, but because it just represented a desperate push your chips all in move when we were playing with house money and there was absolutely no reason to go all in…yet.

And now we have assholes on here clamoring we trade even more young assets for a veteran PG, as if that’s going to be the magic elixir that turns this pretender into a real contender. Yeah that’s the move, let’s get even more desperate.

It’s a long season, and things can certainly change, but from the early returns I see an entitled, lazy team that doesn’t play hard night in and night out. It’s a talented roster, and I do enjoy watching Durant when he’s not getting doubled and handing out turnovers like Marie Callender, but the west is stacked and I’m highly concerned that we’re gonna look back in a few years and wonder what the hell the point of all this was.

 

Unfortunately, we have a few players in defacto NTCs and no real cap space.

 

they keep losing games like this which makes it a trend which means it’s not by accident. No closers, mediocre coach, no PG play and no bench scoring aside from Reed. The team is deeply flawed.
