ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Kings 12/21/2025

This loss only angers if you if you think we have a realistic chance to win a title. Nuggets, Thunder, Lakers and OKC got us in 5-6.

 

Ime once brought in Reed for the last desperate shot.

So it's not new.

 

Nothing insulting, 90% of CF was pro a Kevin Durant or Devin Booker move or it was close to an absolute majority.

Everybody virtually told you getting Jalen Green off the team was great for KD.....lol. Nothing insulting about that.

Cool if you were the only one or among the only ones. You should not be insulted then.

 

I mean, I’m glad Durant got a shot… but it never should have gotten that close. So frustrating.

 

Lottery teams aren’t scared of the Rockets because they know they will choke down the stretch.

 

You just answered your own question, when they full court pressure you other guys have to improvise and move up to punish the pressure but three of other guys just standing in the corner. I don’t know why but nobody was moving tonight, I guess they exerted all their stamina last night against Nuggets. Well they can loose to bottom feeder without effecting in playoff race, it’s a long season and everything evens out and even great teams will slip once we cross 60 games mark so no biggie

 

Right, I get the Ime hate sometimes but these dudes missed like 10 WIDE OPEN shots between them.

I don't care what anyone says, this team misses Freddie.

Calvin talking about it now, they had 4 TOs at half time then it just explodes. Nah I'm sorry on this one, Ime can only call so many TOs. They are better than this, we literally just beat the 2nd team in the West and did so pretty convincingly. They just let these teams hang around and before you know it Westbrook and Schroeder think they are playing in the Finals and hitting shots they normally brick.

 

47 minutes for Durant on a back to back is ridonk

 

Give away KD for a young point guard. Problem solved.

 

I think my biggest issue with bringing in Tari for a late clock situation is that he usually commits low IQ plays, so I actually don't trust him to make a smart on ball play in a situation like this one. Ime has seen Tari blow it several times on defensive clutch plays.

 

• Reed has no defense.
• Amen can’t shoot.
• Sengun can’t hit clutch free throws and goes brain dead at least 3 times a game.
• Durant doesn’t know how to deal with a double team apparently.
  
• Tari has no discipline.
  
• Coaching staff is horrible at adjustments.

What else did I miss?

 

Yeah long term this game means nothing, it's the west, it's not going to be easy period. We're not playing b2bs in the playoffs and we're not playing the Pelicans or Kings in the playoffs. It's more important that we match up to the other teams we actually will play.

But they have a pretty consistent pattern of losing leads to bad teams. They have to fix that.

 

Alpi has made so many clutch buckets this year. And he had the mismatch. He was killing the kings we lost cuz we went away from Alpi and gave it to KD who led us to 5 straight awful possessions, KD can’t play against physicality, and they were up all on him.

 

We are not contender.

We are jokes.

Ime is not the answer.

dennis shroeder was the reason why the kings won

keegan kept up with the scoring to go toe to toe with the rockets.

but the game fell apart when dennis shroeder said "imma go at reed sheppard every time i get the ball"

 

We were steady Ime kept Reed in too long when it was chippy (something most people here want Ime to do) and he turned it over b2b2b and thats when we lost our nerve. We need a pg and we need to get rid of KD he doesnt fit the timeline and we are not contenders so whats the point of him?
