ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Kings 12/21/2025

I’d kill to have Schroeder on this team. Can’t afford him though because we decided to sign every free agent forward available.

 

This game is on Ime. The Kings targeted Reed the whole 2nd half, and Reed couldn't keep up with anyone. Ime kept Reed on the floor was a terrible decision.

 

To say hindsight to me is beyond insulting. Ive been saying this since the offseason. This was never gonna work. We werent ready for this contender **** yet.

 

Two horrible loses ! I told my fiancé “watch Jabari will miss a ft and Sac will hit a 3 for the win” anyone else say that?

 

This team has yet to understand that a decent PG can keep them from falling apart late in games. What an embarrassing performance.

 

We got cooked by Saddiq Bey (29pts) and Keegan Murray (26pts) this week.


I repeat...THROW THE WHOLE TEAM AWAY

Its on the guys who couldnt make their shots. KD REED AND JABARI SMITH JR. Ime aint making them miss open shots and commit a million turn overs.

 

I would more confidence having KD take the final shot than Alpi. You saw the **** Alpi pulled against the Pels?

 

They had games with ball out and in so it was unlucky.

 

Compared to last year's team, we just sort of lack the GRIT that they showed.

Is this year's squad more talented? I'd say definitely so. I'm glad Reed is getting minutes and becoming the shooter we need.

But I do miss Dillon's sometimes boneheaded tenacity, and I miss Jalen's ability to galvanize the team and fans with some ridiculous play every once in a while (I do not miss the high variance, though).

I don't think I'm quite on the "we need to make some changes" train yet, but I definitely don't find rooting for this team as fun as in years past. Perhaps because I actually had expectations coming in that we could make the WCF. Right now this team is looking like an easy second-round exit, or even a first-round exit depending on matchups.

It hasn't been a very fun few weeks of basketball, in-between the disappointing losses and ****ed up schedule that had us playing three games in two weeks.

I hope the team can bring us some happiness again, and soon.

Reed couldn't handle the full court pressure and traps against the Kings tonight...Schroeder and Westbrook are actually good on-ball defensive guards.
The ball should've been in Amen’s hands more while they were pressing. Amen was getting to the basket at ease tonight.

 

This will be a play in team by season end.

 

I think it was balsy and not necessarily a wrong move but I agree with you, Reed just did not have it. For player development and getting him experienced its fine. what really lost us the game were all those turnovers from KD and senguin

 

We need a real point guard before we give up on Ime & KD

 

Feeling the same, definitely not tuning in for the LA games. They have sucked too much joy out of December, I'd rather just be at peace doing other things than waste my energy on watching all this talent lose to the worst teams in the league and throw away close game after close game.

 

Only you guys can see players play like **** and then blame someone else. Its par for the course around here lol KD was old and tired and took tomany shots.
