Lost the locker room? I hardly think so. Yes, the Rockets have an inconsistent offense and that is a product of the talent they have on this team - super athletic wings that can cut and jump sky high. The sign of a good team is one that plays consistently on defense, something that is very rare for a team that is so young. Hopefully the team just needs a long rest (all star break) to regroup and get back on track. Like others have said - the Rockets are ahead of schedule and I expect them to finish maybe 5th or 6th in the west.
This is by far the worst freak out allegation. No, Ime has full confidence in the locker room, especially from KD, Amen, Jabari and Reed. FVV IS OBVIOUS . This and the Jazz loss will be our worst of the season (with the exception of the fraud I watched courtside in Denver). The Rockets will be fine. They can be the third or 4th seed without issues, but they'll end up being 2nd. And, help is coming, but some of you will be heartbroken with an injured reserve, a Houston "legend" and a couple of bench guys. Josh is getting calls, but I've heard Ime and the team adore him for knowing and excelling in his role.
Players seem to love Udoka. That's not his problem. Most of his criticism is about his in-game tactic and adjustment.
KD is a fcking loser, he ruin every locker room....he thinks he is the best when he's the most overrated trash there is. He fold like a little bich everytime and blame it on someone else...he can't win crap trying to be the first option or 2nd
He will 100% lose the locker room if he doesn't provide HELP to the team in figuring things out, they aren't stupid and recognize what isn't working...and will turn on him if he keeps leaning into stupid **** like double big if it isn't working, and it isn't. DD
He’s need to just hire some coaching help to figure out the offense. Would Mike Malone accept some type of front office role here to help? The Rockets need more basketball brains in the building. Malone just won a championship. Hire him in some way and trade for Harden. Get rid of Fred and Tari/or Jabari. We should’ve been traded Fred’s contract last season in the KD trade and kept Dillon. The Rockets have made mistakes, it’s time to pivot and fix them quickly if we want to win a Championship this year. The Rockets aren’t firing Ime no time soon. So get him some help! Do your job Stone!
You believe what happened in the 2nd half against the Pels was just poor in-game tactics and adjustments?
My point was that Ime's problem is not in the locker room. I have not yet heard any bad things said about him by players. I have no idea what he does in practice. The eye test says his offense is bad. But @heypartner did try to show that there are offensive plays that are clearly developed and practiced. I am a strong critics about his offensive coaching. But I'd give him some benefit of the doubt that this is still a very young team and execution might have contributed to the problem. Last night's game clearly showed the problem with his lineup rotation. He kept too many non shooters on the floor and relied on Durant and Sengun to create without any counter when those options were being stopped by the opponent's adjustment. It went on for a long time when it was clearly not working and we totally lost the momentum we had built in the first quarter. That's definitely a big part that contributed to the loss.
All I know if Durant is unhappy, it is game over for this year and maybe years to come. Giannis available?!?!?!?!?! We are 7.5 games from not making the playoffs in a young season and we are talking about this lol....
Ime needs creative players & free thinkers like Jalen Green & Dillon Brooks to help him break his mold. Otherwise he is orthodoxxed into a corner
While most of the deals Codman proposes never happen, it is still fun to theory craft. Help is ....Jrue Holiday For FVV (Injured reserve), Houston Legend (Tate), Tari, Tyler Smith DD
