Idk why he even takes them? 90% of the time he’s just foul baiting which makes zero sense considering he’s probably the worst clutch time ft shooter
Cry all you want H-Town. Ime will still run iso plays 99% of the time, bench Reed when opponent score a bucket on him, never giving KD last shots and play Amen like he is our point guard. If I was the coach I would’ve run Sengun, Amen, KD, Okogi and Reed in the 4th tonight and benched Jabari instead of Reed
I agree, sengun hasn’t shown he’s clutch. If he can’t lock in and really take those moments seriously, he’ll never be a true No. 1. Lately he’s been acting like he’s already proven something when he really hasn’t. And I hate those tough, fading, one-legged shots he keeps taking go up strong instead of trying to get a call. The focus just isn’t there when it matters most.
Instead of being a clown, maybe think about why the second best post player in the league, never touches the ball in the post? Guess it's easier to hate on a player than it is to query why he's constantly put into a position which amplifies his weaknesses as opposed to capitalising on his strengths.
Listening to podcast I honestly believe KD is testing the team who’s the real deal. KD already knows that Amen is not cut out to be floor general and he knows for sure we’re not winning chip this season. He is out there to help but tonight basically Alpi, Amen and Jabari chocked hard and Ime is undefeated shutting down Reed. If I was Pelicans coach I would kiss Ime for icing Reed in 4th quarter since he could send more double on KD since Amen shrunk under pressure missing shot under the basket
Sengun needs to be played as a HUB not as a ALPHA. Play more like a facilitator and get his shots when needed. He will lose us more games than he wins if we play him as the alpha taking most of the shots. mark my words.
Because it's all star voting season. He will do anything to secure good stats. He will become unselfish after January, just like last season.
Sengun in the clutch before tonight was shooting 44% from the field as a big man, hadn’t hit a three, and was shooting 67% from the line KD is at 45/50/89 splits in the clutch, but Sengun has taken twice as many shots
Stylistically I wish Sengun played more like he did in his first two seasons vs how he plays now. He plays now like hes the best player on his Turkish team... Except he's in the NBA where his teammates and opponents are better.
5/9 FGs in situations to give the team the winning bucket or to tie it. I'd rather have Durant shoot it because it's the reason Durant is here. But that percentage is pretty high.
He's hit clutch shots before though but yeah sometimes he goes hero mode. Sad to see it. But he's hit a few this year so I get it. I don't even care that much about that, he's gotta hit his FTs, if he does that then we win.
Imagine being this stupid. A 23 year old going right up with the best basketball player in the world. God I'd love to be so braindead as you. Life would be so much easier not knowing how stupid I was.
Does it have to do with constantly being behind the 3 point line before he touches the ball the past season or two?
My only real criticism was choking both free throws. That's unacceptable, and we win that game if he even makes one of those. Aside from that I thought his play was fine or pretty good. He made a lot of big shots down the stretch. Also, did you already forget the shot with 2 seconds left agains Denver? It was literally just 1 game ago. It should have been the game winner if not for the total bullshit foul call on Amen's shin.
