I think so too...but when you're playing your best playmaking game all season and have the highest +/- on the team, get yanked last second, get put in for 10 seconds, yanked in how the **** do you know what to do? I do something that has some of the highest stakes in the world, when training to do it you apprentice alongside folks and make mistakes (its human). Nobody does what Ime does, it leads to bad outcomes. Reward / punishment have to be allocated in a smart and effective way

I’ll be honest, last season our defense was good because we were good on switching fast since Sengun was the only one with problem with lateral movement but now we have Sengun and KD both are not great at switch defense so we’re leaving so many open 3 that we’ve seen tonight even when we were up big. This season lack of personnel to switch plus Ime’s lack of offensive strategy is really showing since whole league knows how to shut us down. Opponent scouting report #1 Double KD since he is poor passer when get pressured #2 slack off on Amen, Okogi and Sengun (behind the arc) to help double KD #3 Just score over Reed to get Ime to take him out the game for us #4 Let Amen bring up the ball since he’s gonna waste 14 seconds off the clock looking for KD #5 Only defend KD, Reed and Aaron beyond the arc, let everyone else shoot 3
Sooner or later more fans will realise whilst he raises the floor, he doesn't raise the ceiling. One day soon he'll lose the allure of being better than Silas, and fans will start judging him for what he is. And boy is he failing big time at trying to get a team of real good players, to perform at a real good level. The fact the team has lost numerous games already in the first quarter of the season, against ridiculously subpar opponents kind of tells you everything you need to know. It's funny seeing clowns on Clutchfans dying on the hill that Ime is better than Silas. The embarrassment they're going to feel in less than 2 years time when Ime is fired for being completely subpar and irrelevant, will be hilarious.
I would seriously consider putting Amen back in as PF like last seasons role and go get a real PG. So far even with limited minutes Reed has shown huge improvement in his passing while I just don’t see any improvement on Amen while taking two step back in his defense. We don’t need house name PG but confident enough to get over the full court press and punish double team with open 3. Tari can’t never stay healthy when Embiid is able to play more games than him and pretty close thinking Amen’s ceiling won’t be high as we’re expected to be so might be beneficial to see what’s out there quietly but see his efficiency comes back when he moves back to forward position.
Firing midseason is never good, but yeah, should not have extended him so early with him making 11-14 milion per year......that is too much for a decent defensive coach with no flash.....
I was out on winning with Ime a long time ago, that extension was way too premature. Force him to change his staff or fire him.
