CP3 was/is a great prototype for Reed. Obviously as a player, CP3’s game would be much better tutelage for Sheppard than FVV. FVV does seem to be a better locker room guy and is already taken on a teacher’s role on this team. It seems to me, CP3 would be an unnecessary gamble to the locker room where we seem to have a bunch of really good young guys. I am not a FVV the player fan, but I am an FVV the person fan. Do not want CP3.

He is washed dude. Shoots 35% FG and cant defend anymore. He needs to get on that vegan diet or w/e he did but I guess since he thought this would be his farewell tour and he would come off the bench he slacked off on his offseason work.

The Clippers are a loser organization. CP3 deserves better.

Could CP3 be an offensive coordinator on a parcel minimum journeyman type contract?

sure, cheap options for organization. player / coach

Does coach and CP3 see the world the same way?

Honestly we need a player who can actually still play basketball at a high level. We have enough veteran voices on this team to cheerlead and mentor.

I don’t think any of those mentors are as good as Chris Paul.

we need something going on offense that’s for sure in terms of point guard abilities.

That FVV injury has been massive

I am not saying you are wrong - but what do you base this on?

We have only lost two games to teams we are clearly better than and we have been very close to beating Denver twice and OKC.

Seems to me that we are doing well on offense and defense - and the young players are developing.

And all of this in a context where only being top 6 matters … and they are almost guaranteed to be there. Style points, media love, even W-L along the way doesn’t really matter nearly as much as development and cohesion. (as long as they stay top 6)

I agree that we are doing fine and patience is key. I think we steadily improve and the “if we could get a PG all our problems would be solved” is just knee jerk reactions mostly from fans that had their minds made up the minute FVV went down. Amen is not going to miss all those layups all year, we will get Tari and/or DFS back and Ime won’t feel the need to play his gimmicky lineups (hopefully). I don’t think it’s horrible that fans of the team are pointing out areas of concern. I think the Durant fit is a real concern. I think the TO’s are a problem, Amen’s shooting is a problem, but there is no need for panic. If we see it, the players and coaches see it and will work to correct them. The worse thing the FO could do is break down our young core and cap flexibility going forward by acquiring an expensive veteran Pg.

Yes we’ve been doing fine offensively and defensively but
Sometimes very close isn’t enough in the playoffs. Last season it would have been fine, this season we have expectations of a championship.

a true ball handler is something we don’t have.

sheppard is young and has developed nicely given his circumstance, I think he’ll continue to develop but if we’re talking about this season I don’t think it’ll be enough.

amen Thompson is also put into a position that is out of place for him.

I think we’d come away with atleast 3 of those games with FVV

in terms of Chris Paul I think he’d be able to coach more offensively for Reed Sheppard and Thompson. More of a coach over a player but still valuable imo

I mean I'd expect the younger guys, maybe those in their early 20's at least to go to the Halloween party but...*looks at Clippers roster*

That is where you and I differ - I did not have expectations of winning a championship this season, and I still don't.
