It's way too early. Towards the end of the season, everyone is going to be beat up, gotta wait for the injury reports. Felt like half the league's stars were injured last playoffs

The Rockets are overall a VERY poorly coached team, as such, they'd struggle to beat any quality team in a 7 game series.

    obviously they could…

    Will they?

if the Spurs had HCA, I’d give it to them 60-40

I don’t understand how anyone could say we are a poorly coached team with a coach that literally took his first team in his first year to the finals and then turned a 21 game team into 41 in the first year and to the second seed and 50+ wins in his second season.

ime has his limitations particularly when it comes to offense and some time out decisions, but to call US poorly coached is just ignorant and silly.

    Couple of things.

That Boston team would have never won a championship without dumping Ime because he'd have never moved on from Marcus Smart. They clearly were a very talented team, they just needed someone else to actually win.

The Rockets are another team with a ton of talent, so the wins shouldn't be shocking....but losing to a ****ing 7 seed shows what happens when coaching matters.

I'm not saying he's a terrible coach when it comes to everything, but there are glaring weaknesses that put a ceiling on any team short of winning.

Just look at the play our genius coach drew up for the final play....is that what a well coached team comes up with?

I've long said that a coach like Ime is a floor raiser, but not a ceiling raiser due to his weaknesses as a coach that are unlikely to be overcome by any team.

When it comes to those weaknesses, the most obvious are that he seemingly is clueless when it comes to anything offense related....as indicated by the play he drew up for the final possession last night.

The other is that he's pretty terrible at lineups and rotations.

    Thunder in 4/5
    Nuggets in 5/6
    Lakers in 6
    Spurs in 6

Lost to Thunder without Jalen Williams
Lost to Nuggets(x2) without Aaron Gordon/Christian Braun
    Lost to Spurs
    Lost to Pistons
(Then Dallas & Utah on b2b)

(As of 12/16/25) Can’t say I would pick the Rockets against any of the top 4 (or Warriors).

Good news for you is I’m always wrong. ;)

The Rockets find ways to lose to good teams. I think we miss Fred more than I thought we would. I honestly thought KD would be more effective. I wasnt a fan of the KD trade but I kept hearing how great he was at his age and we cant even beed top tier teams. NOT ONCE.

As of today it's hard to say they would beat any of the top 5 tops in the league since our record is 0-5 against them all. This team is still trying to figure out all it's pieces though so there is time for growth. I'm not gonna feel very good until they are able to win at least half of their games against the top teams. If they beat Denver and then in January beat OKC, that would go a long way for feeling confident about this team but right now, it seems like they are missing something.

The reality is that the Thunder, Nuggets, Spurs, and Lakers have a centerpiece player that is at least a tier better than ours, and will likely retire as one of the all time greats.

As long as that is the case - if those teams are healthy, and they have competent supporting casts, they will be favored over us.

In terms of the Houston Rockets winning a championship, that is the core challenge of this era. Because Jokic, Shai, Wemby, and Luka aren’t going anywhere.

This thread is about the Spurs, a team with no experience. Let’s stay on topic.

I didn't mention experience at all, my statement is directly relevant to the topic. Try to follow along.
