Amen has been my favorite player since last year but I must say his red flag is waiving high in the sky.

It’s not that he’s not a “shooter”, it’s the fact that he literally can’t shoot. Like at all. Defenses give him no respect outside of the paint. It’s become a glaring problem and I don’t know what the answer is.

Name me a truly successful point guard that was not able to shoot?

the blatant foul on Murray to put him on free throw line late was ridiculous. Gotta be smarter there

 

Any time we get Natalie Sago I cringe. Not because I have anything against lady refs, but because she sucks. Lot of inconsistent calls and missed ones that other officials often have to help her out on.

 

No one will ever convince me that forever ago there was just ONE lone wolf ref betting on games.

ESPECIALLY now with so much betting going on.

Some refs are consistently terrible, they consistently go into games favoring a team, NBA fans know these refs, we all fear them and just tolerate them but no one would be surprised if an investigation listed officials as betting on games.

 

I gave you your answer and you couldn't accept that it it was the right answer. But hey you got what you wanted, they called a timeout...but wait...what happened? A better shot than a durant pull up? Nope. A rushed fade away by a none 3 point shooter. What should they have done then DA. You tell me...

 

I kind of wish the Rockets would file a protest for this game, but of course it would do nothing except make a statement.

 

He can't he is 37 years old IMe needs to stop having him bring it up, it was 0-5 in OT...he sucks at it.

We have no PG...no creative dribbler, so you have to lean into Reed and Amen until we do.

It's egregious that they basically called a dead ball discretionary foul that effectively decided the game.

Replay is basically around so that they can correct that mistake - in the case of the dead ball - it's quite literally no harm, no foul. If they don't call the foul it's going to be a 5 second call on Denver bc Murray stopped even trying to pass to lobby for a foul. Ok fine, call it & have a look .

Bad job all night, bad call, bad use of replay.

 

He’s sincerely my favorite player. Love the guy. It’s glaring.

 

Yeah I’m afraid if he doesn’t find some sort of shot he isn’t going to develop into what we all want him too. Watching Denver in the 4th/OT they switched Joker on him and he just essentially sat in the paint and left Amen wide open.

 

His free throws improving is encouraging. But he needs to keep at it because being an offensive liability as a shooter will ALWAYS cap your ceiling.

 

The answer is, give up on the moronic Amen PG experiment and realize that Amen counts as a non-shooter....meaning he can't be on the court with more than one other non-shooter at a time, ever.

Throw Reed into the starting lineup to give the team extra spacing since Amen does so much to hurt spacing and he needs it to do just about anything on offense outside of transition or pseudo-transition scenarios.

Realize that Amen is essentially what a primarily defensive PF or C used to be...just quicker and more athletic.

 

I always felt like it was fool’s gold. That is what separates him from other bigs in the nba like Jokic, Chet and Wemby who he will be competing with for years to come.

 

What do you think he did tonight. He rode Reed even though he was shooting poorly. I’m the last to defend Ime, I didn’t want him extended and was ridiculed for it. He is a terrible bench coach. His rotations and in-game decisions are about as bad as I have ever seen. We’ve had trouble in-bounding the ball ever since he got here. Even though we are top five in 3pt % we have terrible spacing. We don’t have to lose games to develop players. When our original starting five was out there in the first and third quarters we were winning. Ime then starts with his 2 big lineup, his 2 shrimp lineup and his 2 bigs and 2 shrimps lineup, but we didn’t lose because Ime was chasing 60 wins, it was the exact opposite.

 

More Reed & Holiday bringing the ball way and way less KD and Amen.
