I want Sheppard or Reed to shoot the last shot man

 

Amen is a straight up liability on offense in the clutch…all he does is clog up the paint

 

I mean almost every team fouls in these scenarios, he caught the ball with his back to the basket, and Jabari froze after he passed and didn't rush to the spot like he could have. I don't blame Sengun there

 

I can assure you, that wasn’t a drawn up play. This is the NBA. It’s not college or even high school.

 

I still think this foul is bs, but I do see why the call was upheld. Hardaway embellished it. It just should have never been called on the floor. There was a better angle on the denver local broadcast --

I don't think that was the play but because of the stupid (but necessary) thing teams do when they foul when up by 3 means whoever touched it had to take the shot. I think the inbounder panicked.

I know Sengun is the last person you want taking that shot. KD, Bari, Reed, all better options, the first two have made big shots, but I think Sengun was open and got the ball and realized he had to put it up. I don't think that was a bad idea, still coulda got a rebound and a kick out.

Game should have never gone to OT though that call was so atrocious. Yes Amen's shin does touch Hardaway, but AFTER he's already falling on his own feet. You can pull the replay up and see clearly he's tripping on his own.

I could not be an owner in this league. I'd be sending the tape to Silver and telling him to respect my ******* team.

 

Yeah.. at this point I’m not even sure what this team is? Can any of us say with confidence they can even beat LA or SAS in a series? Denver and OKC no shot. It’s a long season so things can change but the early returns seem to be we beat up on average teams while losing to the elite teams.

 

I don't like how often he's starting to get tunnel vision and just decide it's his turn to cook. You can tell he really wants to have a shot like Jokic, but you can't just pretend to have something in your bag, it has to actually be there.

 

Terrible and atrocious calls against Amen down the stretch... The phantom trip was a very bad call. Should have never been an overtime game.

Final shot, was a poor inbound. Have Reed or Durant inbound. Have use a legit screening big. Even at the risk of an intentional foul, this is why you have Adams. Also Sengun rushed the shot.

Fun game as a fan to see. But man the Rockets had terrible calls all game today.

This was a absolute must win for the Nuggets. Anyways. Long season but losing too very close games to the Nuggets is disappointing.

 

I think for us to really win a chip, Ime will need a really solid offensive coordinator to help him with some of his sets, because it's been a problem for the last couple of years. Him and Mazzulla helped get the Celtics to the finals. We just need somebody like that on the Rockets, too.

Let me preface by saying Sengun played a really good game and battled Jokic well.

That said, I don’t think the decision to shoot was the issue. As someone said, they would have fouled if he didn’t shoot quickly. The issue is that Sengun is not a good shooter …at all. His 3-point shooting is steadily declining toward his average and he will end up below 30% again by the end of the season, of that I have no doubt. It’s very unnatural for him and while a summer with his shooting coach helped him overcome that the farther he is away from that time the more he reverts back to the shooter he is. Even more so when he has to shoot a jumper (rather than set shot) as he did on that last play, he completely loses control and usually bricks it no matter the distance. It’s very unfortunate because if he was a more natural shooter he’d be in that generational category.

The Nuggets are a two seed, have lost four games in a row at home and were rested. They lost in overtime.

 

Only positive I’ve seen tonight is Ime was comfortable letting Reed bringing the ball in crunch time. If Reed shook off rust little bit earlier we might had a chance but Refs are undefeated this season
