Both games on Peacock were fun. The Magic winning again without Paolo and the Suns continue rolling without Jalen.
brooks did it in oregon as one of the main guy. he can definitely do it in the nba as the main guy. he just pride himself as a defender for some reason.
A lot of people don't realize DB was the lead dog at UO his last two years and he led them to deep runs in March. However, at the NBA level, he's better suited as a 3rd or 4th option on offense who will occasionally pop off. But I must admit the run he's had on the Suns since returning from an injury is pretty wild.
Would have been fun to see Jalen Green's mug again in TC.......he probably travels with them and sits on the bench ....either way.
Injury update from yesterday The Phoenix Suns are playing it "safe" with Jalen Green's right hamstring strain that has limited him to just two games in his first season with the team. "Everything is going in the right direction, but we're going to play it pretty safe here," Suns coach Jordan Ott said pregame Dec. 14 before facing Los Angeles Lakers at Mortgage Matchup Center. "We've got to be in the mindset that this is a young athlete that is super valuable. We're going to take it day-by-day, week-by-week, but he has made really, really good progress." Ott added Green has been doing on-court work.
He would not be paid even close to 30 if he was injury prone before all of this...... He is only valuable because the Suns do not have a Cade, do not have a Jay Dub, do not have a Flagg that is a better player. His only skills are still just his 1st step and when he is hot, his hot hand. Couple of dunks.
Translation: If Jalen doesn't play enough games to demonstrate he's fully past the hamstring issues, we won't be able to trade him before the deadline.
I kinda get the feeling Jalen played through a lot of bumps and bruises here, and isn't being held to that level of toughness in Phoenix. Like they know they're not gunning for playoff glory so they're content to let him rest. Feel bad for the guy, hope he gets healthy I want to see what it's like playing against him for once.
