Why are you arguing with complete and utter nonsense? There's no point, just say "you're right" and move on

Sure, that's what people say and yet the O line is protecting the QB better without him.

Also, they had Tunsil in the Pro Bowl even with him being dogshit last season....his performance and his accolades are not necessarily directly related.

I'm glad he's someone else's problem. The Texans have enough to deal with on their own without Tunsil constantly killing drives with penalties.

"a 5 yard penalty here and there doesn't hurt the offense"

We should all consider ourselves lucky that he's not talking with @Hey Now! and @cmoak1982 , this thread would end up being 928 pages within the next 72 hours

I don't think he helped make it; he just added a conspiracy of a gambling Referee and/or player.

The center is to blame for Tunsil's FS
A gambling situation is the cause of Tunsil's FS
It is just a FS. how do they cause a problem for the Offense? That is only 5 yards

Na, if you watched that game, it was bonkers what they were doing. I don't know what the reason was, gambling is just one possibility

Pro personnel and GM's are saying this. Not some random Joe Schmoe. Do you think replacing 4 OL starters including 2 that are out of the NFL and 1 that should be has anything to do with the OL being better? Like you said it doesn't matter now. I'm just glad Tunsil is playing like one of the best OT's in Washington.

Let's just say I view Tunsil like the high KO - DP - poor baserunner albatross you hate in baseball who has a great BA.

So is it also a possibility that Tunsil himself was gambling and deliberately sabotaging the game with false starts? Or do “possibilities” only count when they absolve him of responsibility?

Nothing “bonkers” happened. What happened was simple and visible on tape:
Tunsil moved before the snap and repeatedly failed to line up properly.

He was flagged 3 times for false start and 3 times for illegal formation (with one illegal formation declined). That’s not randomness, and it’s not officiating chaos — it’s a pattern.

At this point, the list of explanations being offered is:

    • The center somehow caused Tunsil’s false starts

    • A referee conspiracy against Tunsil

    • Gambling-related interference

    • And “it’s only five yards, so it doesn’t matter”
The only thing added was a gambling conspiracy.

False starts don’t need a grand explanation. They’re self-inflicted, drive-killing penalties — especially when they erase positive plays or put the offense behind schedule.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but there is often nuance which causes some teams to have calls made and other teams have calls not called for what appears to be the same thing. Some think reputation is involved and sometimes protection of marquis players. This alone, regardless of intent, raises suspicion of both the calls and the motives behind them.
