That’s completely fair. I was using that as a defense to someone saying I wasn’t a fan because I fairly criticized our QB.

No reason to match wits when that was your hill to die on… and boy was it a catastrophic hill.

Maybe it deserves a bump? You really did overreach on that stance.

    Go ahead, pull it up.
You will see Bryce was QB1 Levis and AR were above CJ.
I also admitted I was wrong about CJ

Agreed. But still Maye throws one of the prettiest deep balls you'll see.

He has been really really good this year from that front.

    Certainly makes them dangerous.

Stroud throws a gorgeous deep ball as well, I just want to see him get back to the ball placement and leading his receivers that he showed before.
He truly is one of the best throwers of the football when he’s on.

What are you talking about? I was with you being scared when we drafted CJ, I’m a Buckeye fan and have seen what they turn out like in the pros. I was worried he was going to bring that bad juju to my first and favorite team, the Texans. I’m not butthurt if CJ sucks as the player, I’m butthurt if it makes my team suck. I don’t understand how posting verbatim statistics is untruthful. You can say cherry picked or biased I guess if you want, but they are the epitome of facts. It’s exact numbers. Saying things like competition and OC doesn’t matter for Maye is more along the lines of untruthful because it’s subjective and your opinion. There is nothing opinionated to say CJ had more yards, better INT% and tougher competition in his first year than Maye has now. It’s literal numbers.
the crow you had to eat after that rookie season while Levis was a walking meme, and now here you are so quick to shove anything bad about CJ in our face to prove you were right all along. It has nothing to do with the players, it’s all about you.

I honestly don’t like the ignore button, I want to be open to hearing all views and sides as much as possible. But goodness it’s like talking to a wall of stubbornness. Twists everything and just calls you a liar with no basis other than it’s not what he wants to hear. The color thing is unfortunate and not something I want to point out, but I’m sure he can’t even see how people would connect those dots.

The numbers are very clear. Mayes season this year is miles better than CJs rookie season.
There is literally nothing that says different. Unless you’re saying a marginal yds per game and INT% is the deciding factor when Maye leads everything else that matters-by a lot.

This is about you wanting to be right. I am simply stating fact and you don’t like it.

Again, Levis was not the QB I wanted.
You can lie or choose to believe your own lies about that fact, but it doesn’t change reality.

If you want to go stat by stat, we can. It’s going to make you look like an idiot

It’s funny, the only reason some of you even like CJ is because he’s black. But then want to falsely accuse me of not liking him because I said Levis was a higher upside prospect. Meanwhile I also said AR was and Bryce was QB1.
So intellectually dishonest because you want to play victim.

Ignore me, I don’t give a **** at all lol. Thinking that matters on Internet forums is honestly hilarious.

“Your stats don’t matter, only mine do”
“Your supporting cast doesn’t matter, only when I refer to my guy”
“Your reality, the one 80% of this board remembers, is not my reality so it’s false”

But I’m the one who “needs to be right”… whatevs dude, enjoy the win.

You are literally making things up to argue about.
Stats matter, not mine or yours.

You made the claim that CJs “great” season was a lot better than Mayes.
    Let’s see:
    CJ. Maye
    Gs. 15. 13
    Yd/G. 273. 262
    Y/A. 8.2. 8.8
    TDS. 23. 23
    Int. 5. 6
    Rat. 100.2. 111.9
    Com%. 63.9. 71.5
    QBR. 58.3. 72.1
    Bad throw % 19.9. 14.6
    On Tar% 74.8. 78.7
    Int% 1. 1.6
    EPA/Play .11. .22

Most advanced metrics favor Maye. That also doesn’t include 2TDs rushing and the scrambling advantage Maye has over CJ.

CJ had one of the best rookie seasons ever, probably only behind Herbert, JD and maybe RG3.
Maye is having an MVP season.

I never said supporting cast didn’t matter. I never said SOS didn’t matter. You’re making that up.
CJ has a far superior SOS this year, advanced metrics account for that and Maye is still ranked higher.
Mayes supporting cast is inferior to what CJs is, probably a worse Oline, a wash at TE and RB production, WR favors CJ.

I don’t know how you can look at quantifiable data and say with a straight face that CJs great season is bettter than Mayes.
I am literally on record during CJs rookie season saying I would not trade him for Caleb or Maye, which is what I wanted to do in that draft. Draft Anderson and wait til the next season to go all in on QB.
Bryce was QB 1 and the only QB I would take at 2, also fact in my posts. Levis and AR were physical upside picks, also fact in my posts.

I said I was wrong about CJ his rookie season and supported him through a terrible 2nd season. Saying he hasn’t played well the past two seasons isn’t hating on him, it’s just the truth. We need him as Texans fans to be better, end of story.

    Each draft cycle...

2023- Obsession- 4th QB taken Will Levis

2024- Obsession 3rd QB taken Drake Maye

    I find it hilarious.

Always the lies. Sad that you have to lie to try and make your point.
It tracks though, same reason you go out of your way to find the one statistic that backs up your opinion. When all the others don’t

Drake Maye finally plays a real team and only gets 155 yds and 1 int, 0 TDs.

CJ plays teams that Drake Maye has played all season and gets 250 yds and 3td
