Offensive foul, shoulder push off. Actually it’s not his alone. It has become legal for any of the preferred players and/or teams. Shaq used to do it, albeit, with much more force. It was my biggest beef with the Shaq years. The way the NBA totally disregards the rules for its favorites is so irritating. By the way, I don’t hate the players for it. They do what it takes to win and get their bag like any self-respecting capitalist. I hate the NBA’s hypocrisy.

You're missing my point though, this is just one anecdote. I didn't mean that we should sign Chris Paul literally so he can get every player set up with an ipad and learn second spectrum filters. The idea here is that Paul was able to mentor Dort specifically in a way that nobody else did, and in a way that helps him tremendously to this day, even after CP3 is long gone. I would bet that many other players on that thunder team have similar stories about Chris Paul, and different ways that he's helped them. I think there are very few vets who do things like this, I think CP3 is one of them, and I think there's an intangible value to it from a fan perspective.

Remember the Cam Whitmore trade for two 2nd Rd Picks, it is time to use one of those picks.

Chris Paul does have tips on SGA. He taught him at OKC.

Tons of advantages. If Chris Paul can teach Mike Dantoni style offense to Reed Sheppard. This will work. Ime Udoka is terrible in Half Court and Full Court Offense.

Rofl, at least Draymond had a relationship with Poole.

I agree but you somehow understate the fact that they had other good veterans like Steven Adams and Al Horford and Gallinari.....

    • Two guys are exactly left from that CP3 roster - SGA and Dort.
    • But their whole bench is newly revamped and a testament of Daigneault and his wit.

OKC is going to be the team we need to beat at some point, so if CP3 has any inside knowledge on anything that would be helpful, it would be a plus.

Reed Sheppard most likely was in Chris Paul camp during his High School Years.

highly doubt that. Most likely a wnba player or hillbilly bob from Kentucky camp.

Hearing a deal could be done with Rockets on Monday. If so, this would be the perfect signing. Reminds me of the Joe Flacco signing for the Bengals….40 year old excellent player needed only to hold team up until Burrow came back. In this case 40 year old legend to hold us up until Van Vleet comes back in a few months. Brings much needed competitive spirit to practices and games. Could really teach Reed a few things.

I’d do it just to have him as a mentor for Reed on court and in practice.

I read somewhere last year that Reed modeled his game somewhat off Paul. I see some of it in his mid-range and would love if he could develop some of Paul's ball-handling skills.

BTW, thanks for sharing your insight on the signing.

We already have the answer for SGA in Amen. It’s Dub and coaching that are our main issues.
