Just saw that. No Bari on the list. I think that says more about the perception of Reed than Bari, but still.
Another bogus list by ESPN. I wouldn’t trade Jabari straight up, but for about 3 of the players after no. 12 and that’s based on their potential not play.
Sheperd was in the game at the most critical part of the game, the fourth with the score neck and neck. That says something.
Yup. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that’s the first time Ime has trusted him in that situation, when alternative players were available?
Reed is a great shooter. He’s going to have an off night from time to time. Ime should have played him less, but then CF would be crying like a fountain. We need a new coach, not new players.
What a hypocrite. You called for him to be benched during the game. Reed hit an important 3, but how many important 3’s did he miss before that. You finally had a moment of objectivity when it came to Sheppard, but you just couldn’t help yourself. Sheppard is getting all the minutes he needs to develop. I’ll give Ime credit for sticking with him though he hasn’t played well for a while. People aren’t going to like it, but Amen and Sheppard aren’t the issue with this team’s offense, it is Ime’s inability to figure how to integrate Durant and put some off-ball screens and movement into the equation.
He missed far too many shots, and I was frustrated about it at one point, but him merely being on the court drastically improves spacing and makes the offense work better. Defenses fear his shot, even if the Rockets can't figure out how to make that work.
I think him being on the floor helps our spacing most of the time, but not so much this game. Ime has really gone haywire with the stupid lineups. I know he is missing Tari and DFS, but why play old man Durant 44 mins and give Capella even a minute, when Adams is available. When oh when will we see the last of the stupid 2 bigs lineup.
Other teams are so clearly targeting Reed Shepherd. They don't need to probe for weak spots in the wall. They found it. It's frustrating when the young man is off. As you mention, in a couple of seasons he'll be really solid. Until then, being Fred-free is our Achilles heel, and Stone needs to address it. This s*** is going to lose us a lot of games.
I thought Reed being off with his shot was the worst part of his game by far last night. If he makes his shots, the Rockets destroy the Nuggets in his minutes. Granted, this doesn't help the other minutes in which the starters where giving the ball up easily. Not saying he was a great distributor or defender, but he got enough good looks to do a lot of individual damage (which he didn't capitalize on).
