Remaining strength of schedule, Western Conference .600+ teams: OKC - 1st hardest DEN - 2nd hardest SAS - 3rd hardest MIN - 5th hardest LAL - 16th hardest HOU - 27th hardest Let's eat that schedule up.
Guessing the Rockets will have the easiest schedule (based on opponents and not rest) after Christmas.
That got debunked, the easiest schedule and hardest schedule's separation is around 0.78.... Easiest: 47% Opponent record Hardest: 53.8% record Basically OKC has to play Denver 4x and Spurs 5x....only reason. 2x Houston They won't see Denver until February.
The games will be more crammed together but they will have more depth with Tari and (hopefully) DFS in the lineup.
Safe to say that FVV, DFS, Holiday, and Tate will not be moved. I do not think Uncle Jeff will be moved either. Clint and Okogie will probably be moved if we make an impactful trade.
Looks like an expected 2-3 win difference over the remaining season from the hardest schedules to the easiest. I would not call that marginal.
I don’t see who would be better with a 9M salary for this team than Okogie. We also may need Clint. Adams has not been an Ironman in terms of availability for several years. Unless FVV approves a trade, I think they stand pat.
Yep. Seems like a buyout market for the Rockets. DFS would be the only salary they can really trade. I just don't think they will trade him with Tari's injury history.
This. The Rockets have the physical ability to bludgeon lesser teams, but they can't stop the best players (because no one can), and they don't have an offense that can keep up with them either. You need a guard who is both a threat from the outside (stretching the defense) and in the paint (collapsing the defense). Your choices are trading for that guard, praying that Reed will become that guard, or just writing this year off until Fred comes back. It's a shame because I think we're right up there with the Thunder if we have Fred. The question is, are we going to spend the rest of this season pretending we're on that level? Or are we going to actually level up with a move? Because right now this team is a paper tiger.
