It was empty in the first quarter because it takes 30 minutes to travel the last block to the stadium and park. Traffic flow is so bad on weekdays.

I don't think the Pistons or Spurs are ahead of us at all. They are all in the same position, that is, trying to get to OKCs level or rather trying to prove that they are on that level. The Spurs and Pistons haven't proved a single thing yet. Spurs less so than the Pistons.

If Spurs played Rockets or Pistons in a 7 game series, I think it's pretty much a toss up.

I think many are selling this organization short...here...on this forum. Other NBA fans look at our team and go "Wish that was us."

I should say, This Rockets team WITH Jalen Green last year played pretty f'n well against that OKC team last year and did so again this year thus far. We'll see what happens this year...but a lot of CF posters have grass is greener syndrome and don't realize all the young studs we have on this team. You don't finish 2nd in the west by pure luck.

 

Watching how closely this game was rigged firmly reestablished to me how completely corrupt the NBA is.

 

We look like ass against good defensive teams. That reeks of first or second round exit.

 

Why a little narrow minded when we are basically talking about the Durant window in 1-2 years.

Of course the Spurs are there, they lack the experience but in regular season they are a bona fide 50+ Win team.

The gap between Durant and Wemby yeah sure, latter is younger and has more potential.

I am pretty confident in the Spurs organisation which actually put forward Presti and Udoka, 2 guys vying for a Chip today.

 

thunder got 3 lottery picks next year including the clippers pick.

 

Fox is better than peeps give him credit for, he is no Giannis but he is also not passive aggressive.

He is also pretty clutch having ranked on Clutch Player of the Year consistently.

The Spurs are and will be the continuation of the Timberwolves IMHO..WCF contender..and beyond.

 

Well those teams must also look like ass against us since we've beaten good defensive teams or games have come down to one possession.

Like I said, I think many here have grass is greener syndrome. This reminds me of last season when everyone was telling me that Orlando had a MUCH brighter future than us.

First or second round exit, maybe, depends on who it is against. I just know this team FAR exceeded expectations last season and it still wasn't enough for most here. Most thought we'd be a lotto team and they finished 2nd in the west and here we are again, tied for 2nd in the west, and somehow we're also a bad team.

 

The thing with Durant...the team did what it did last year without Durant. My thing is people VASTLY underrate how good Amen and Sengun are, how much potential Reed has and that even Jabari is a great starting 4 man. I think this team has a bright future and we forget how young these guys are.

The team is 2nd in the west and is missing three key players in Tari, FVV, and DFW, and one they won't get back this year.

I said the Spurs haven't proven anything because the season is still young. The Rockets and Pistons did just go to the playoffs. There's two phases of the NBA season, the warming up period, where we are at now...and the 'Oh **** is real period' where going on a 4 game losing streak could knock you out of the playoffs. This is usually where teams who haven't been there start to stumble and when the veteran teams like the Warriors did last year, start to rise.

Are those Spurs guys ready for that? We'll see. It's also been a problem that Wemby has not had the best health history as of yet. So yeah, I think it's fair to put Detroit and the Rockets over the Spurs right now.

 

My big take away from tonight is that Amen is making serious progress as an on-ball player and point guard. There was a stretch where he was running the floor brilliantly. Overall, one of his best performances playing the point. He’s was seeing the court great tonight.

 

You basically stated yourself that you are basically dependent on two 23 year olds when KD is having an off game......who are also a tad flawed.

That is also the gist of this spunky dialogue that people are hard on them or should they be hard on a contender? Of course people should be critical......

It is basically the same thing with other teams, every team other than the almost picture perfect OKC have flaws.
