I don't feel compelled to educate you. Do your own research. You're welcome.

    I disagree.

I am not talking about Taiwan, I am talking about an actual full fledged war.

I have been to China close to a dozen times.

nope, if it is that easy, the US would have done it already.

as a point of reference, let's use this eg.

    some 40 yrs ago,

    Germany and Japan were the only ones operating bulletin trains;
the US and China had expressed their desire to built them.

    now

China has 19 pairs of bulletin trains operating on a daily basis.
the US is still talking about building bullet trains.

Brother, your challenge is your own ego. You need to humble yourself and come to the truth of God. You don't know this but your own self-pride blinds you to God, truth, and righteousness. You need to repent my brother. You do NOT want to go to the grave in this state of existence.

    Google AI:

Estimates for Chinese soldier deaths in the 1979 Sino-Vietnamese War vary significantly, with figures ranging from China's low claim of around 7,000 to Western estimates of over 20,000, with some sources suggesting up to 26,000 killed, highlighting the secrecy and disputed nature of casualty reports from both nations.
    Official Claims & Estimates
China: Initially reported losses under 7,000 killed, though some sources cite figures closer to 8,500 or 9,000 dead, alongside thousands wounded.
Vietnam: Claimed a much higher number, stating over 60,000 Chinese troops were killed or wounded.
Western Estimates: More neutral figures often place Chinese fatalities between 7,900 and 26,000, with wounded ranging from 14,800 to 37,000.
    Key Factors
Secrecy: Both China and Vietnam were notoriously secretive about their battlefield losses, making accurate numbers difficult to ascertain.
Purpose: China's invasion aimed to "teach Vietnam a lesson," and the high casualties (similar to Vietnam's) reflected the fierce resistance and the PLA's need for combat experience, notes Business Insider and Reddit users.
In summary, while exact figures are elusive, credible estimates suggest Chinese casualties were in the tens of thousands, with several thousand soldiers killed, significantly more than their initial official reports, according to analyses from sources like the British Modern Military History Society and Business Insider.

The US doesn't do it for economic reasons.

During a genuine war, the US would be forced to do it.

Yes, if the USA has China attempting or threatening to invade - yes I believe that the willpower would be there. I have no doubt that the willpower would be there.

The Chinese would get their clock cleaned if they tried to invade or blockade Taiwan - and the CCP knows it. China's biggest fear would be an escalation beyond Taiwan, wherein the U.S. takes out all of China's satellites and launches the mother-of-all cyber attacks on their militarily, infrastructure, and economy. And this is all BEFORE we destroy a single Chinese ship.

Also - it is convenient that every time the Defense Department wants increased spending, they leak war simulator scenarios where the USA loses. They have been doing for over 60 years now.

We are arguing separate points. If china threatens to invade Hawaii or mainland USA then yes I agree with you. If china doesnt touch US forces and invades taiwan theres not a chance in hell Americans would sacrifice whats needed to defeat china. Not a chance in hell. Ive done business in China recently and you have no idea how badly they deem Taiwan as theirs

Yes, we are talking about different scenarios.

I am talking about a full and total declaration of war between the USA and CCP.

I am well aware of how the Chinese mainland views Taiwan, it isn't anything new.

I am also well aware of the strengths and weaknesses of China.

The most likely scenario would be the USA and CCP working out some sort of arrangement where the US would agree to not get involved.

However - if the USA were to get involved, and total war was declared, the USA has the capabilities to do massive damage to the CCP.

I agree with your wider point though that Americans don't care as much about Taiwan as the Chinese do.

Probably. But every conservative that tries to rein in government spending, military or otherwise, gets shellacked by the Washington Establishment elites that you vigorously support.

i think you mean China to invade the US. china can be many things, stupid it is not. China is not stupid enough to attack the US

China to attack Taiwan, which i doubt, is another story. W the transactiona Trump as POTUS, don't think he would go out on the limb for China's island province
