The "easiest" route for us is for Duval to go 0-4. And Indy to go 1-3. Then we would only need to win a couple of games.
Houston is such a shell shocked fan base and who can blame us. The Buffalo comeback against the run-n-shoot has been permanently embedded in my brain. Montana vs Buddy Ryan. The Pittsburgh Renfro game. Staub getting hurt. Finally the Astros and Rockets got over the hump. It’s time for the Texans to break the curse. This is the year. Stomp the Cardinals and run the table. I can’t remember a weaker AFC.
I have no idea without knowing the personalities involved. There are serious candidates and courtesy interviews. I believe the latter is possible with the right connections. While not being the same thing, a similar situation exists with guessing who the Texans would choose if both RB Jeremiah Love and OT Kaydon Proctor were available when we pick in the 26 draft. Would we go with the lesser need because the falloff is greater or the greater need? I don't know that either. BTW, I would choose OL with every pick the way we go through Linemen. But I'm not the professional.
In another of life's little coincidences, our new RB shares my sister's married name of Schrader. Both her husband and she share a plot in the Cemetery where Lloyd Bentsen is buried in Houston. And Senator Bentsen was who I met with when I visited Washington as part of The Presidential Classroom for Young Americans when I was in HS. I know it was winter, but I've forgotten whether it was late 74 or early 75. But I choose to see it as a good omen.
My biggest problem with Allen is regression to the mean since we've owned him the last two games. I'm wondering if we have an advantage on the celebrated QBs because there is so much tape on them.
The Denver Post’s Parker Gabriel reports Broncos QB Sam Ehlinger declined the Colts’ offer to sign him to their active roster. Ehlinger was originally drafted by the Colts and spent four seasons with the team. He told The Denver Post that he and his agent talked to the Colts for two days before turning down the offer and sticking with the Broncos’ practice squad. The Colts were going for familiarity to fill their quarterback role by trying to get Ehlinger while also getting Philip Rivers. Ehlinger chooses to stay with the Broncos, where he is the third quarterback behind Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham.
People! PEOPLE!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME! PEOPLE!!! I'm talking here! Saying provocative things! I need all of you to stop responding to everyone else and bathe me in your attention. It is the only light in my dark, meaningless life!
That is really...bizarre. How could you possibly pass up a chance at playing time and active roster salary? Unless there is some family dynamic keeping him in Denver.
