To keep their playoff hopes alive, the Texans primarily need to win their own game today against the Kansas City Chiefs. While other teams losing would improve their position in the standings, a win for the Texans ensures they control their destiny and potentially jump several teams in the AFC playoff picture. The Chiefs are a direct competitor for a wild card spot, and a loss for Kansas City would significantly decrease their own playoff probability. Other results the Texans' fans should hope for to improve their playoff standing today include losses by: • The Buffalo Bills against the Bengals. • The Los Angeles Chargers against the Eagles. • One of the teams in the Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game. • One of the teams in the Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game. A scenario where the Texans win and both the Bills and Chargers lose could see Houston jump as high as the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
I don't know why people are saying the Jags win means they win the division. They have probably been the most inconsistent team all year long. some of yall have more confidence in the Jags winning out than like all of their fans do.
Off topic- I'm tired of seeing ESPN glorify YAC on their gamecast. A completion is made for 25 yards yet they only show 4 YAC. Quit catering to bettors and display stats accordingly. Steps off soapbox
I think I saw we have a better Conference Record if we wind up tying for the division. If the Jags lose to Denver in Denver and we both win the rest of our games we both have 4-1 division records and 1-1 head to head. I think Conference is next, but it could be common opponents.
Texans will make the playoffs Colts are done and have you seen the Chargers remaining schedule?? Eagles, @ Chiefs, @Cowgirls, Texans, @ Broncos Even if we lose tonight, we can still get in. Only 1 loss minimum though With that said, let's make a statement tonight
thats pretty normal with an ACL injury. Brevin Jordan didn't even realize his ACL was torn until the next day. Steichen said 'it doesn't look good'
Sure, but again they have shown they are capable of losing to bad teams or losing games they are supposed to win.
If we win tonight KC and Baltimore done. Colts for sure done. Jags are in the catbird’s seat but if we win tonight hope is alive for the division and at the very least makes the probability of the playoffs very favorable.
NBC (Florio) just announced that Daniel Jones has a torn Achilles and is done for the season. Feel really bad for the guy.
