Ime got out coached by Jason Kidd. He saw the Rockets were just trading baskets so he was willing to live with Durant shooting 2s all night.

 

Does anyone even have a rational explanation for this? It seems so basic I don’t get it. Is it some kind of a doctor mandate? lol I’m grasping at straws here to comprehend that decision….

 

Rockets have only lost to two lesser teams all year long, and both on b2bs.

Their other losses are to OKC, Detroit, Spurs, and Denver. Three of these teams are literal finals contenders and Spurs just might be with Wemby, who knows with them.

Idk, I think the b2b is a bigger reason, Adams simply doesn't play enough minutes to even be top 5 most important player on the team.

I didn’t watch the game so I don’t have an opinion on the leash, but after being initially excited that Reed had turned the corner I’m back to thinking this team and coach is a bad situation to develop a young player. Amen has regressed as well from whatever his trajectory was last year (all-star). Both Reed and Amen very well may turn it around, but it won’t be because Ime has any defined role for either.

 

Coaching was the problem? Really?

 

Well we're really going to be messed up then since Giannis is out for a month and calf strains sometimes preclude ACL tears.

Any team trading for Giannis right now with this calf strain is taking a pretty big risk. Hope it won't be us.

 

That was because he was on the floor when KD was going off in the first half, he played ok in the first half. If you actually watched the game and weren’t being biased, you’d have seen that the Mavs were basically picking on him every play. Trying to use raw plus minus here is pretty disingenuous. If I was standing in the corner while KD was going off I’d be a plus too.

 

they’ve had injuries. Look at their play lately when a little more healthy. They’ve also beat Denver and Miami during their 4-1 stretch in last 5 games. This is easily a playoff team when healthy

How was he any more unplayable than Amen tonight? Because of that bad 2 minute stretch? Did Amen need to get pulled for his 6 turnovers?

 

Embarrassing. I don't care how many injuries or illnesses there are. This is an embarrassing loss.

Well that sucked

 

In a 15 point loss he was one of two players with a positive +/-.
By definition, he must have been a positive impact on the floor. He also shot 5-8 and 2-3 on threes btw.
Maybe ask yourself why KD is a -12 in this game if all Reed added was standing in the corner and watching. Looks like KD has a much tougher time doing that when Reed isn’t in the game.

 

Texans need to get it or else it’s gonna be a long ass week.

 

i definitely don’t think it’s personal, but it sure does feel like he’s using him as a scapegoat at times. I’d rather him adjust the defense so we can utilize Reed at the offensive end rather than just default benching him when the opp is scoring on him. I know that’s easier said than done, but if Ime wants to be an elite coach, then he needs to find a way. Reed has shown to be a lethal scorer and we can’t just hide him when things aren’t going exactly his way on the defensive end. Just make take.

 

To most of this forum, Ime is going to be one of the worst coaches in the league unless Reed plays 48 minutes and is the focal point of the offense.
