fwiw, Reed setting a pick for Durant has often caused a switch, then against a PG mismatch, Durant does his elbow iso, or “nail iso” that Ime mentioned in the vid,

I give Durant **** for calling his own number too much, but when he ISOs off a Reed screen, it’s usually a switch that can force a double where Reed might even get it back for a three.

    I’m ok with that

I want him back with everyone else here so we can put up the ultimate OKC stopping team.

    Brooks
    Thompson
    Eason
    Smith
    Finney-Smith
    Okogie
    Adams

They put that D on LOCK!!!

Given how new the unit is with Reed and KD thrown into the mix, the team is still very much in the feeling out stage when it comes to pet plays they can run with each other.

I'm expecting the offense wont look nearly as stagnant and KD iso heavy by years end.

    Yeah, you're probably right. Sucks.

Hopefully Finney-Smith can be everything Dillon was without the mistakes.

He's not as versatile of an offensive player.

Dillon is playing great and he had a good impact on our culture, but he still leaves a lot to be desired. He is not a good passer, he is not a good rebounder (in a position where rebounding is important), he makes game changing mistakes and disappears in the playoffs. We are missing his toughness and defense. We don’t need his isolation offense. If DFS comes back and gets to his former self he is a better all-around player than Dillon.

What allround, Dorian ia not a scorer, he has developed his accuracy but only in recent years....he is 3 and D and not an allrounder.

I never heard Mavs fans calling him all around.

Defensively he is probably a better fit but Dillon is a 16-20ppg guy while Dodo is 8-9 ppg, he is basically a taller, better Okogie which is fine but nothing like Dillon or resembling.

A defensive specialist who can play rim protector like Robert Covington....but lesser bag than Covington.

Durant took Dillon’s place in the lineup. Dillon would not get enough touches in this offense to make him effective on the offensive side of the floor. He does not rebound and he does not pass.

He played with Luka and healthy Bron before the sciatica, two of the absolute best playmakers ever........

Of course he is going to look better but better is still just scoring 9 points.

He also played in Dallas with Luka so he is actually pretty spoiled and Luka made PJ Washington look like a 15-16 ppg guy.

I think PJ Washington is the all-round guy that defines the term better.

I think they are both about equal in value, but think DFS is the better fit with this team. He also is a lot cheaper. Our defense is still top 5 even without Tari and DFS and the inclusion of Durant and Reed into the rotation. I like Dillon, just don’t think he would be making that much difference if not for the injuries.
