Yeah I would've had him rest tonight instead - he is *heavily* needed against the Dallas front court.
Amen with 29 points tonight after scoring 20 against Sacramento night before last and two nights before that 23 against Utah And we're still getting people constantly criticizing him. He's a WIP, he's making mistakes because he's pushing himself to get better, but he is producing nevertheless.
I think it's only a matter of time before he gets there - consistent FT shooting is a great indicator of solid shooting mechanics and honestly a good chunk of Amen's mid range misses look pretty good. If Amen can develop a Shaun Livingston (post-injury) game in the mid-post, he'd be unstoppable. The 3 point shot can wait.
The fact that he developed the free throw stroke is a very good sign, he used to not have that either.
I thought so too but Anthony Davis is playing tonight so I doubt he plays tomorrow night. If AD had been playing all this time Dallas is probably right in the middle of the mix, he really is that impactful.
More Amen quarters 2-4 and much, much less Amen quarter 1. It defies belief Ime has an entire coaching staff to feed the difference back to him, and yet we'll still see countless more offense resembling Amen quarter 1s this season.
Their strength of schedule is 11th of 30 so they've hardly played any good teams other than us, honestly
