Let’s be objective and not nostalgic. It makes little sense. We already have a player-coach in FVV. And Holiday is a lot better at point. Maybe he’s injured? But the 2025 version of CP3 looks cooked.
Who’s at the end of the bench? wouldn’t mind grabbing someone who still holds his team accountable even when their team is ass and he’s in his last season. An offensive genius with young players. He’d be more of a coach than a player which would be extremely valuable
He's looked terrible with the Clippers. His body is nowhere near as similar to LeBron's. If we get him it would be in more of a mentor role, and to be fair it's worked out tremendously for SGA. If Udoka wouldn't give Sheppard minutes last year because of his liability defensively Paul isn't helping us either.
I'd be interested in him as an end of bench Uncle Jeff mentor role. I think Reed could benefit a ton. But it won't happen, because again, Tilman shat all over him when he bought the team. Moving on.
Ty Lue is pretty well respected around the league and never seemingly gets that emotional, seems like you have to have really messed up to get on his bad side as in "Not speaking to him for weeks" level bad.
I don't see CP3 having any value left as a player at all, but if he wants to come here as a coach, I'd be all for that.
CP3 seems to grate on people's nerves. Particularly veterans. I think that is why he was perfect for OKC and Spurs Youngsters will listen . . .Vets will be like STFU . . i do this for a living too! Rocket River
dude needs to peace out already, just like lebron james. Nobody wants to here these doods no more or watch these has beens.
Hakeem went to the Raptors with similar reasons, old. He wasn’t friendly with the Rockets at the end of his tenure.
Mentor our guards before we know it he would incite a revolt against Udoka. Unless former head of NBA player rep CP3 publicly says he wants to come and be mentors not be coach-player. We should take a look because he would be insurance just in case our roster changes because….. CP3 is going to be a coach somewhere eventually like Tyronn Lue.
Lol .... So holding person/people accountable is now considered being disruptive?? The Coach (Lue) started ghosting one of his players for weeks because he couldn't handle being told that the team was underperforming under his leadership? Spoiler ....... ....... .......
