They lost a lot of toughness when they shipped away Brooks. They aren't nearly as chippy so far this season.
I never meant that defense should be the only identity of the team. There's no doubt that opposing teams are shooting 3 pointers with ease against the Rockets. Amen has slipped up on defense, and Tari, FVV are missing. DFS' total absence is hurting the team on mostly defense. The Rockets need an offensive coordinator, without a doubt. Ime's substitutions are baffling.
Aaron Holiday was shot worse and defender worse than Sheppard, but Ime stuck with Holiday and that's the primary reason the Rockets lost. When you have a coach like Ime, you just have to accept that his stubborn in game incompetence is going to cost you at least a few games. It's part of his charm.
Durant certainly can fill up a box score, but our offense is definitely more fluid when he is out of the game. Ime is a poor offensive coach. I hope somehow someone in the organization can figure out how to integrate Durant into this team. It will probably change, but right now we would be a better team with Dillon taking Durant’s minutes.Durant hurts both Sheppard’s and Amen’s game with his isolation game. Ime should never have gotten the extension. With it, he has no pressure to get better.
It's not that he played 40 minutes as much as it is that he shot so poorly in the first half. We also had 5 guys with a TS% under 53% in KD, Jabari, Aaron Holiday, Capela, and Okogie who was worthless. 3 of those guys played over 32 minutes.
Been saying for years....Durant is overrated as hell, he's only good when he is just there waiting to shoot the ball and not controlling it. He can't dribble or assist anything. He's trash without curry, and Westbrook being the main guy.
I still love Durant but he didn’t have it yesterday. It was glaring obviously to everyone but the coach. He missed a bunch of easy shots he normally makes. I was saying yesterday he should not have sniffed 20 minutes.
Wasn’t just about his shooting. He was awful in every aspect. Defense was trash, turnovers, getting out hustled on glass. Dude was a no show and made our offense so predictable. Yesterday shoulda been sengun every play,

Lol. You mentioned rebounds, defense, and 3's, then only blame 3's despite being out-bebounded by 4 and giving up 50% FG. Middie hate post. Lol Mid range has its place. Half assed effort does not. Rockets wasted a dub, plus KD's knees are on ice after his marathon.
Even top 4 doesn't matter. Home court isn't that big a deal in the NBA, especially against a 3-8 seed. Just get top 6 to avoid play-in ... the rest is practice time. I guarantee the Rockets see it this way, which is why they aren't freaked out like Clutchfans is about DFS taking time to return, Reed taking time to fit with starters, resting on back to backs, etc. The only thing they are doing against that philosophy is logging big minutes for Sengun, Amen, Durant. And I assume that will shift as the schedule gets busier. The constant panic and shortsightedness of this board is laughable, especially when paired with arrogant statements about how stupid Ime or the FO is.
