Has he been developing Reed or has Reed forced his hand with the FVV injury and it’s either Okogie or the #3 pick that shoots lights out ona team with no shooting **** ime
They are likely not winning anything sans a super duper run in the Playoffs.... You can talk about a potential coaching change in the offseason. Personally I don't think the age constellation is great, if you don't win it in the next 1 or 2 years, you are not winning for another few years. Detroit has suddenly become so much better with a much younger group....it's concerning.
Not to mention. Dillon has been playing far better basketball in phoenix and if jalen breaks out, we know IME was the issue
He's not the worst coach, but he's definitely a coach that will always cost his team at least a few games every now and again with his stubbornness and in game incompetence. It just is what it is.
Overreaction. Everyone complaining gonna jump back on board after a few wins just like you did with Reed when you were killing him. Fans gonna fan.
i take it reed didn't play all that well and didn't get the minutes you all felt he deserved, so that means one of the best coaches in the association is actually one of the worse.
wait are you saying DB deserved to have almost 18 shots a game last year? who should he take shots away from?
If you have enough time to create this thread or respond seriously to it you have too much time on your hands and should question the decisions you're making in your life.
Doesn’t have to be pretty, just needs to be effective. It’s gotten better every year he has been here. No coach is perfect. Did we all forget where the Rockets were just a short while ago? Still trending up. Last night sucked but it’s going to happen from time to time.
We fans are just riffin.....well, Mark Jackson wasn't that bad either. So was Brad Stevens, but turned out he was a better GM than Coach.
I think most of the Ime hate is overblown and unwarranted, and he's a really good coach. But the one thing that does stand out to me is that he plays ridiculous and unplayable lineups, and I can't remember any other coach that does this. Every team has a mix of good and bad players obviously, but I don't think I've ever seen another coach send out so many bad players all in the same lineup like Ime. It's like when you send out the "victory cigar" g-league squad when you're up 20 in the 4th quarter, except Ime just does it randomly in the middle of games.
We came out the gates flat footed and got punk by the Jazz...KD forcing bad shots in the 1st half, Amen making bad passes, and Jabari settling for 3pt shots. Only critique I had about Ime last night is when we cut the Jazz lead to 1pt in the 4th he stayed in the 2-3 zone too long and the Jazz were getting rebounds for 2nd chance points. If he wanted to stay in 2-3 at that point we should've sub back in Tate for Holiday because Tate hustle is what got us back in the game and Holiday had an off night. Unfortunately, the Jazz was hunting Reed on defense and they won that matchup. One can argue Reed should've closed out the 4th over Holiday if we wanted to stay in 2-3 especially Reed is a better defender in playing those gaps/passing lanes and better rebounder than Holiday. I think if Ime would've made those adjustments late in the 4th and I see us winning that game.
Well, the Suns G-league squad beat a fully healthy Lakers team by 17pts in LA. Every good team is gonna have an off night from time to time. The Nuggets lost to the Mavs as well. Is JJ Reddick and Adelman Jr. terrible coaches as well based on your argument???
