Yeah, playoff Jalen sealed the deal. That was an extremely poor showing, as he wasn’t able to contribute in any way. Sure, Jalen had one good game where he hit a bunch of threes, but if we want a guy who can get hot from three once every 7 games, Aaron Holiday can do that.
Out of all the starters he’s the one that is a bit more redundant. DFS skillset overlaps most with his imo
You like Jalen if you like playing roulette and are more of a gambler. You’ll hit once in a while and you’ll hit big. But in the long term you lose. Jalen is a high variance player, he’ll ball out a few games but other times he will give you 3/15 shooting. Too inconsistent, hasn’t figured out in 4 years how to improve his offensive deficiencies. how he plays year round ultimate reflected his playoffs. One great game, three ok games? A couple of turd games.
I would say we need to see him in a more wide open offense before we judge him like he will never improve. But I don’t really care about Jalen except in the 26 season, when I hope he sucks as much as most of you insist upon.
I am not trying to prop up Reed. He is doing that all by himself. As for Jalen I was only speaking the truth.
Yeah I'm out on Jalen, but "lapped" is kinda hard. It's not just 30 pt games, at one point he had more 30pt games than his entire draft class combined, and that lasted a while. He also had 40+ pt games, games where he'd have 30+ on 60% from the field and 50% from 3. Jalen's peak games in his first 3 seasons stack up against the greatest of all time. His problem's never been talent, his problem is his talent is tied to his confidence and he's really not that confident a guy at all despite being the good looking athlete archetype. He's so easy to throw off-game that he genuinely should seek counselling because if he's not ****-sure confident then he's not got much value at all. If he'd have been consistent he'd have been the star we built around, his monster games were that monster compared to everybody else in his draft class before they outpaced him.
its not only his consistency they guy is simply not a wiiner he's the worst of the starters last year in BPM and Net Rating for the whole season
Are you watching the game RN? Utah built a huge ass lead shooting 39% from 3. We only came back cuz we stopped taking mid range. As I am typing this Jazz just built a 6 pt lead again witb B2B 3s and then fts. Lebron and Dwade mid range kings? lol wut? People who just keep taking middies today just lose just ask Demar Derozan and Kawhi. Now we about to lose to the ******* Jazz cuz KD kept taking and clanking his middies smh. People who keep praising middies just dont know winning basketball tell me how many rings Derozan Melo and Rudy Gay have? KD only has ring cuz he joined 3 pt king GSW. Every other team he has been on he has lost cuz these middies dont work in the long run. Even Kawhi only has 1 ring and he only won cuz GSW was wrecked with injuries. 3 pts are king, this is already been proved so many times. Every 3 is 50% more than a 2. Utah has 89 FGA, Rox have 88. Too bad Utah has 14 made 3s and Rox have 10 and thats why we about to lose this game.
Neither of them have any legacy games. A legacy game is something extreme like Sengun putting up 45/16/3/5 vs Wemby.
Another thing, it is not just middies, KD is not as clutch as people made him out to be..... SGA is also not a 3 point shooter but I'll take him over KD....any day......twice on Sundays. SGA figured out the NBA ......the whole NBA.....by 27.
SGA is shooting 41% from 3 lol. KD is 37, he was drafted the same time as Jeff Green. He is still good but already old and declined from his prime. He should practice moving off the ball and taking spot up 3s rather than always trying to go ISO.
