I assume Steven is sitting this one out. Hopefully everyone else is available. The Rockets need to take care of business this week. And Utah needs to start actively tanking(if they weren't already). I think their pick is only top 8 protected(they owe it to OKC otherwise) and right now I believe they have the 9th worst record in the league.
Beating any NBA team back to back can be tricky, even a terrible team like the Jazz. Should still be fine, but if the team is lax this could be a lot closer than it should be.
Yeah, this one feels more like a trap game because of that, and also what is with this scheduling facing them B2B on their home court? That said, I demand another boring win.

The outlook for game 2 is the same as game 1: Jazz have only two legit players to be concerned with and Walker Kessler being out makes it extremely hard for them to be competitive against a team like the Rockets. They have nobody to fill his role. Will Hardy's post game presser was very subdued and gloomy. It felt like he didn't blame his team for getting crushed so easily. He wasn't angry or upset and made no promises about bouncing back. Markkanen and George will obviously play better and the Jazz will compete harder. If the Rockets aren't focused enough, they could hang around longer. Adams won't have a chance to be a one-man wrecking ball again. But with Amen and Okogie harassing their two scorers, we should see a fair amount of scrub time in the 4th. I want to see Alpi aggressive and dominating from the start.
I know they aren't what they were, but I do still hate the Jazz and their fans so much. 30 points is not good enough. I want records set. I want every game to be one that brings infamy on that franchise. I want them whining and desperate. I want one of those high school games where it's like 140-35. I do hate them so.
Play good defense and frustrate the Utah Jazz from the get go. Don't give them a chance. Go Houston Rockets!
It can actually be devastating tbh, the jazz are hungrier for the win and mad at Home. There a reason they are a nba team, on any given night they can beat you. Rockets need to lock in, to really come out of this one for the win.
Textbook trap game. Trap game 101. In the books of trap games, this is chapter 1. Keep the pep talk short but the leash shorter. Tonight we learn who are really our energy guys. Have my money on Reed. Who would've thought? but that's the world we live in.
