I think the problem is that now there are fewer and fewer consequences for these kind of choices. I'm sure there will be plenty of other states that follow Florida in removing vaccine mandates, and I expect it will be increasingly unlikely that companies will be able to force you to get shots. Antivax rhetoric will continue to be normalized, and people like RFK will continue to get studies to say whatever they want to further muddy the waters. As the saying goes, imagine the intelligence of the average person you know and understand that half of the people are dumber than that person. These are the people being counted on to make the right choices after "doing their own research".

As a thought experiment, let's say Covid 2 were to hit next year. What do you think the US response will be? Same, better, or worse than Covid1? With the current administration I'm gonna have to go with worse.

 

I think if this happened again, they would not allow anything to close and there would be no masks.................it would certainly thin the herd, so to speak
