I think Reed and Davidson are a better combo than FVV and Reed.

Fred did his job, got paid to do it, give him a watch and a ring from this year if we win, and trade him in the summer.

Thank you for your service, you are a SUPER character guy, but we are better on the floor without him.

Totally agree. He was exactly what the doctor ordered the first two years. He played way too much last year and he should be jettisoned as soon as he and Ime will allow it. Maybe offer a bench coach job next year.

Hopefully he won't think it's the team doing him dirty to ask him to lead the bench unit. 3rd guard, still going to get 24ish minute in a playoff situation. If Reed is slippin you have a vet right there to sub in. Pretty ideal imo

Play him off the bench in his Toronto championship role.

If this team does as expected and makes it at least to the WCF, what would be the reason to give FVV a prominent role next year? I guess it would obviously be an option if we can’t bring Okogie back or god forbid Reed gets injured. Even then it would be better to trade him for a better fit if possible.

Fred will be Reed's backup at PG if and when he comes back.

If Fred makes it back, he will complement what we already have going, not disrupt it, damn. You guys are tripping.

Love Freddy V. I know he's underappreciated here, but the ball protection and movement (leadership, too) is incredible with him as a floor general .

Either way, the cow bells that Shaq used to hate are calling often. Same with the desperate inmates held in DC.

Dennis the Menace takers? Anyone? He's close with KD, Ime and the interest is mutual. I'm hoping the offer is feasible...but Sac and DC ( Chicago and Charlotte as missed calls initially) will be actively in talks with HTown.

I'm happy with Reed but we'll need a true , vet PG and midrange guy who can create ( aside from KD) when it's all said and done.

Love and light to you and yours this November and December . ×°

There is a LONG way to go befire the playoffs.

    A. Will Reed continue at his current level?
    B. Will Reed regress?
    C. Will Reed improve - in certain areas or overall?

I think option C is the most likely for a young player who is still finding his way. I dont expect 30ppg, but it is likely that the shooting continues (and it likely will based on his history), the playmaking continues to develop, and the defence improves.

Might be tough for FVV to get off the pine. I don't see him taking Okogies minutes, they are chalk and cheese and Okogie serves a particular purpose out there. Most likely (if fit) he would eat into some of Durant's minutes late in the season for rest purposes (ie by FVV sharing minutes with Reed at PG and Amen playing off the ball a bit more).

It feels most likely (at this early stage of the year) that FVV will be traded in the off-season... FVV + Tari for a $30M player

Holiday isn't burning us yet but as a 3rd guard Fred is a pretty decent option

Can Fred VanVleet play together with Reed Sheppard in the Backcourt.

I think Aaron Holiday is a better fit for Reed, because Aaron has better health, speed, knows how to run a fast break. This season Aaron has really been a knock down shooter and his floater is consistent.

Fred VanVleet plays too slow, Fred os terrible in not passing to open corner shooter. Him being undersized is a bigger problem than Aaron Holiday. Aaron can use his speed and athleticism to pass out for a open corner shooter.

I don’t know. There’s a whole lot from this post (as usual) that I don’t agree with.

Best case he'd be healthy for conference finals would be a massive to even come back at that time frame.

I’ve given up trying to decode these posts. It was fun when there was some possible correlation between his coded team/player names and what actually happened … but nothing he’s said has come remotely close to happening in my recollection. He clearly knows some people in the NBA, and they may be telling him what they and other players WANT to happen or rumors they hear, but it seems those people don’t seem to have any actual inside information on the Rockets FO decision making.
