Are you really FOR increasing taxes to bring in trillions of dollars to the federal government? If we increase the federal income tax rate to a 30% flat tax rate, we would bring in an additional $2 trillion. If we actually implement a 30% across-the-board tariff rate on everything ($3-4T of imports), we would bring in an additional ~$1 trillion. You are for this?

I believe what Bessent says, the money is coming and when it does the economy will takeoff. Yes, I'm for doing what your proposing, everybody needs to share responsibility for the deficit. We all voted in the politicians who created this debt. The taxes however you want to get the money should be earmarked to pay down the debt.

Bessent said the economy will "take off" by 4Q of this year (we are now in 4Q) and that it will grow 3%+ by May of next year. 4Q hasn't ended yet, but I don't think anyone sees signs the economy is taking off as predicted. May 26 is only 5-6 months away, so we'll see soon enough how accurate that forecast is.

He's also made several false claims: that tariffs are not taxes, that companies won't pass tariff costs on to consumers, and that inflation has nothing to do with tariffs. Yet contradicting that last point, he said they're rolling back tariffs on certain food products to reduce prices... implying tariffs did in fact cause food inflation.

"Larry Hoover was the head of perhaps the most pernicious, efficient drug operation in the United States," Safer said. "They sold over $100 million of drugs a year in the city of Chicago alone. They were responsible for countless murders. They supported their drug territories with ruthless violence."

His first act was to pardon a bunch of domestic terrorists and hate group members who beat hundreds of police officers and made death threats towards the Vice President and others, because they were his supporters. If a mob of protesters, black or brown people stormed, beat and bear sprayed a bunch of cops he would scream through the rooftops and demand the stiffest punishment. If they stormed the White house or any of his multiple residences he wouldn't hesitate to have them shot. When it's him, he has Secret Service armed and ready.

With Trump, it's so often based on political stance, loyalty, skin color of perp or victim, and personal benefit and association with the criminals, regardless of how many millions they reaped in from criminal acts, or what type violence they've committed. He's given a sex trafficker and groomer a transfer to the country club of prisons. He bends over backwards to appease ruthless dictators and leaders who commit atteocities against humanity, and rolls out the red carpet for them. He is a walking talking hypocrite. It is usually about how that pardon, policy, or executive order can benefit him personally, or his family empire in the future.
