Honestly after the ketchup on the ear assassination attempt and Charlie Kirk, I'm skeptical about the whole thing. Whenever Trump is desperate and bleeding popularity, something like this happens.

 

Seems like the shooting shouldn't even be in this thread, as things turn out. National Guard was just conveniently available to him because of the deployment. But, the shooting is about how we betrayed our allies in Afghanistan.

 

This is just objectively false in the long run. Italy was a failed state, as was Vietnam and Germany and Ireland and number of countries that had large scale immigration to the United States and these groups have all contributed to US culture but also assimilated to the USA.

Stephen Miller’s own family immigrated from a failed state to the USA a little over 100 years ago.

Perhaps this wouldn't happen with a POTUS that doesn't place National Guard unnecessarily in American cities.

Perhaps this wouldn't happen with an admin that doesn't divert limited FBI and Immigration resources from dangerous criminals to non-criminal immigrants.
