yeah I hate how Alpi started the game. Something about the warriors makes him play soft. Probably draymond barking in his ear all game.

That midrange is looking like CP3-ish.

Reed Sheppard is him. Unquestionably the best player yesterday, over some future hall of farmers. Twenty one years old only, and playing like Curry. Rockets hit the proverbial lottery jackpot.

I’m thankful for Warriors fan crash outs. Gotta love it!

Many may have given up on this game in the first half. Houston's bricklaying and the ref's whistles playing GS in a later game can make the game hard to watch. One of the key turning points was Sheppard's steal at the 4:27 mark of the 3Q. Up to that point, the Warriors had been dictating play, despite their inability to close off the offensive glass (19 for Houston by that point in the game and excessive TOs (9).

But from the 4:27 mark of the third quarter, the Rockets were the aggressors. Numbers that stand out:
    • Outscored the Warriors 40-28 to close the game
    • Earned more trips to the line as the whistle evened out (as much as it can against the Warriors)—13 PFs against GS (Houston made 10–14 FTs) while only 8 whistles against Houston (8–10 FTs for the Warriors)
    • 7 more GS turnovers; Houston with only 2 over the last 16 minutes of the game
    • 9 total FGs made by Golden State for the rest of the game (2–16 from 3-point range); Houston's numbers (13 FGs made 4–12 from three)
    • Sheppard with 14 points on 5–7 shooting (3–4 from the line)
And I would give a shout out to reserve JD Davison who added a couple of buckets and played meaningful minutes during this stretch. Capela also deserves mention for playing his best game of the year.

I dunno, I'm thinking at least sometimes when that happens it's muscle memory. Defense is drilled into these guys.

I just want to give a shout out to the third stringers. Clint, JD, and Tate came in and held the fort down and played some pretty good minutes. Our bench vets can get the job done in spot duty for sure. I think JD may be more than a third stringer, he’s looked solid.

Jeff Green hasn't even had to come in and play. Players coach on the bench! I'm loving it!
