The moment that clinched it for me was when the Warriors decided to trap Reed with the ball just to get it out of his hands. Guys, when a team like the Warriors does that, it's the seal of approval you are the MAN! Etch this in your brain. 26 November 2025:
My test of whether a shooter is respected is whether the defender is running like a desperate madman to chase the shooter around screens. We saw the Warrior defenders chasing Reed like that tonight. When that happens, great looks are created for other offensive players. The defense becomes very exploitable at that point.
For someone that some have claimed isn’t quick or fast - he sure blows by guys and can get from half court and into the lane before the defense is set… he is a barrel horse, he can cut and adjust very quickly and contrary to some claims, he is a very good athlete with strong body control and cuts.
He was hitting some of those patented CP3 middies today, I thought it might take some time to put that in his bag and he's already starting to do it. No more talk about him going to the bench, absolutely zero. He's clearly the best PG on this team and the overall group offensive ceiling skyrockets with him. Nothing gets us closer to a title than him getting as many on ball PG reps as possible.
The GSW game showed beyond his scoring, Reed isn’t a defensive liability and proved he is capable of playing PG at an above average level. He is more of a PG than anyone playing on the team now.
