You said castle was a better shooter than reed when castle was shooting like 29% and reed 28% or whatever, ignoring literally all history and ability of the 2 players. Just admit it was an asinine thing to say no matter how badly you wanted to push the anti reed narrative.
I actually wish Reed focused much less on getting deflections and more on staying in front of his man. He plays defense like a 6'2 Tari Eason. It's great when it works out but he doesn't have the length to get back in the play quickly when the gamble doesn't pay off. I see a lot of talk about some perceived lack of athleticism but I don't think that's his issue at all. There have been many great defenders that were less athletic than he is. He just needs to learn to anticipate where his man is going, fight over screens, and stay solid.
Okogie has been pretty awful since the beginning of the year. His defense is active, but he’s a huge offensive liability. When KD is back, we should be running Reed-Amen-KD-Bari-Sengun.
His skillset is just more resilient against tough defenses than Alpi and Amen. Imagine if we had him in last years playoffs.
The way the warriors are trapping him won't be possible with KD, good sign for the rest of the season.
He’s got elite offensive potential. It’s crazy. He very well may become the Rockets franchise player. Not Amen or Şengün. It’s to easy for good teams to shut them down. His passing is crisp! Needs to work on his handles and FTs!
I expected great things from Reed so not surprised tbh... but our fans need to stop Hating on him every couple shots he misses or an off game here and there Dude started 2 games and took over as the lead scorer while KD was out, willed us back into this game and win (half the people in the game thread tuned out calling it a scheduled loss)
