its been almost a decade that the Warriors have been clowning us. I yearn for us to take some revenge while Curry and Draymond are still playing...

 

Man I wish KD was playing.

 

I expect early on Draymond tries to get Amen tossed. He will baiting the Rockets left and right with his dirty play. Amen will get caught retaliating and tossed. We are playing in GSW. We will be lucky to get a single whistle in our favor unless the game is a blowout either way and then the refs will try to look fair. GSW games are when the NBA gets exposed for the fraudsters they are.

 

This a must win ... At least for me

 

Need Reed to go cocaine mode tonight. Pacino Scarface.

 

Wednesday was physically taxing even though they beat the Suns by 22. Adding Adams to the list of missing players is piling on.

If the Warriors are focused and solid, they will be tough for an undermanned team to beat. Alpi better step it up big time by scoring, dishing and rebounding above his averages.

It will be interesting to see how Curry does with both Amen and Okogie hounding him.

 

I am glad KD is out. Nice little test 15 games into the season. Allows Amen, Reed, Jabari, and Sengun to really push themselves with no bailouts. We might lose but this the kinda game that helps them develop

Sengun - 23 points
Amen - 25 points
Smith - 21 points
Sheppard - 36 points

Only good thing about Durant IMO is rest. He needs fewer minutes and prob fewer games too.

Not disputing anything you're saying; just wanted to provide some context:

KD AVG speed is 6th slowest in the NBA. And that's not filtering out anyone due to playing time. So that means out of all the guys who have played a single minute in the NBA this year KD avg speed during games is the 6th slowest. Only other player who has played significant minutes who has a slower avg speed is Harden. Lebron once he gets a few games under his belt could still end up slower as well...but I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't.



II did filter out some guys here who haven't played significant minutes--KD IS logging a ton of minutes, but he has one of the lowest distance travelled on a per minutes basis. Sidenote, at first I was surprised Shai was so low but I guess it makes sense with the way that he plays.



Also, I read somewhere that data shows teams who play more zone tend to have fewer injuries. No idea how valid that is or if the Rockets even consider that, but it makes sense on the surface. Rockets are also 3rd last in pace this season.

I post all that to say, I agree that KD needs rest during the season to make sure he's as fresh as can be in the end. I also agree that he's currently playing too many minutes. But I also think that his playstyle and some of the things that the Rockets are doing are helping to minimize the wear and tear on his old bones when he is playing.
