Man, as good as this team is it really irritates me that we can't see it at Max Power with FVV and DFS in the mix. Having those two gritty, smart defenders as well as FVV's stability and poise. Damn, it just sucks.

In Bill Simmons most recent podcast, he said out of his top 100 player, he had Sengun 14th, Durant 15th, and Amen 19th. Not too shabby.

He needs a trade, not a demotion to the G League

I think the way things are going we're looking at this in 2026:

    Starters:
    Sheppard
    Thompson
    Durant
    Smith
    Sengun

    Bench:
    Finney-Smith
    Okogie
    Adams
    Eason

I think given Chris Paul's announcement, he could be a good fit for PG depth for the playoffs... give him one last run at a ring...

The Ringer updated their Top 100 players:
    • 11: Durant (down from 10)
    • 14: Sengun (up from 22)
    • 34: Amen (up from 35)
    • 75: Eason (up from 80)
Not too much with which to quibble. I think Amen is a little low (I think he's a top 25 player), and I think Bari should be in the Top 100. Not bad overall though.

    Hot Take Alert

Durant is not the best Rocket.

Granted, I kind of expected media to treat him as such.

ESPN sucks at everything except hyping the east and west coast. Arguing over their subjective rankings is a joke.

Last season, Jalen and Fred took the most 3s and they averaged 35%. We were 21st on 3pt%.

This season so far, Reed and Jabari took the most 3s and they combined for 42%. We are 1st on 3pt%.

    What a difference.

Sengun should be drafted where they had the Rockets pick instead of Mobley. No thanks on that guy. Sengun should be 5th...hell Maxey would be better.

If you're the Rockets, would you make this trade:
FVV/DFS/draft picks for Trey Murphy/Jordan Hawkins
This trade will give you a healthy 3-D wing in Murphy and another 3pt specialist for spacing in Hawkins.
Pelicans get draft picks for their new front office regime to build the roster they want.
I was wrong about Reed being ready, but yeah its time to start thinking about moving on from FVV.
    Starting lineup:
    Sengun
    KD
    Jabari
    Murphy
    Reed

So Reed, Murphy, and Jabari over Amen. Ridiculous.

    My bad, you're right:
    Sengun
    KD
    Jabari
    Amen
    Reed
Our 6th man will be Trey Murphy

We will surpass Denver when all our players are available and Amen, KD, and Reed adjust fully to their roles. OKC is in a tier all to themselves followed closely by the Rockets and Denver. My only concern is Ime’s playoff coaching and/or injuries. We are a Chet or SGA injury away from being the best team in the league. Of course we are an Amen or Sengun injury away from the 6th seed.

It would be stunning if we beat a healthy Denver team in the playoffs. I suppose we would have a punchers chance but that’s about it.
