Where is the news on him? I was really excited we signed him, especially after losing Dillon (we definitely miss his attitude and tenacity on D). What is going on? Rockets signed him to a decent deal, a couple weeks after his surgery. I'm sure he had a physical with us (I would certainly think). Were they expecting him to be out this long (I didn't think so)? Did they miss something on his injury? Or has he experienced the dreaded word for Astros pitchers....a setback? I don't see this in another thread so flame me if I missed it lol. With Eason out, and Durant missing this week, we need him more than ever
The update is … there is no update. That’s the update. Last update from nearly 3 weeks ago: Wouldn’t expect to see Damaged Finney-Smith until Christmas at the earliest, probably 2026.
Per the NY State Department of Financial Services website: The DFS Hotline is staffed Monday - Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Call DFS at (800) 342-3736 or send us an email. (My personal guess is this hotline will be down after Tuesday PM though)
don't care need Reed minutes I almost never realize this dude is on the team until someone brings it up. Its getting irritating people constantly talking about him. When he comes back and proves himself we can see
DFS had the same surgery around the same time as Tate and Tate has played all the way back on 10/27. In theory DFS should be available in the not too distant horizon unless there were some setbacks or reinjury. My worry is there is so little news this implies the recovery is quite slow as normally there would be some footage of him playing. Maybe at least some drill footage will show up soon.
It's a valid question because he is good. The sooner he gets back the quicker we can get over the growing pains with him. But he is a definitely a piece of this puzzle.
DFS is a really good 3 and D guy, from what I have seen. He could be a tremendous help, especially with the guys we have out.
3 inches taller, better defender, better 3 point shooter....what else? He's clearly better than Okogie if he is here and healthy. Okogie has definitely been playing better than his historical numbers this year (especially 3 point % this year), but I still say DFS is better. But, yah right now without Eason and Durant, I'd even take another Okogie...
His sole purpose on the team so far is the ability to argue after a loss that the loss doesn’t count because we are missing DFS
