And for that matter, almost all forms of governments are controlled by the wealthy in some form or fashion. Thus why the small majority of people live their lives, spend their time helping those around them instead of hand-wringing over things they have no control over. You live in this fantasy land of how the world should be run through YOUR eyes, as if some high power has granted you the authority on how eveyone else should live. The founders literally fled a monarchy and created a first-of-its-kind modern republic based on a system of checks and balances, rooted in their fear of concentrated power and grounded in the principle that power resides with the people (you know, their fight against the king and their determination to prevent tyranny). Yet you think they established an oligarchy. This shows a lack of understanding of history, context, and makes for the strangest of arguments.
