since gumby went down spurms getting insane FT disparity. silver the bich desperate to get that gumby in the playoffs $$$
DB has always had really good months and really bad months. He is going through a good stretch, but then he will fall back to earth, and it's going to look ugly offensively.
Excluding the Emirates Cup schedule mess and the All-Star break, over the final 67 games, only 5 times will the Rockets have two days off between games. This compares to 6 times over the first 15 games.
that's pretty much 90% of guys in the NBA. even superstars go through it. it's on the defensive end that's separate a nba rotation player and a benchwarmer. you can always count on players like brooks to bring the defensive effort. not saying he will shut everyone down. just saying he will bring the effort.
DB has a net under him right now when he does play good Defense, his 24 shot attempts do not matter as much. But if he is gassed towards the end of a season, it becomes apparent, and his Defense falls off a cliff as well. They should feature Royce O'Neale and Gillespie a lot more, those are capable defenders and also decent shooters. They could get Brooks a little rest. Jalen and Grayson Allen coming back would also make things easier for Brooks not having to carry the scoring load.
SGA is likely going to finish his career top 10 all time to be honest. I've been pretty skeptical of him but this dude plays at such a high IQ...so consistently
Feels like Harden when he figured out the whole NBA but with extremely good Defense and extreme discipline....no Strip joints.
IIRC, he shot well at the early part of the season and then landed back on earth later. He is taking the second most shots for the Suns, second only to Booker and not by a lot. When Jalen comes back, Brooks's shot attempts will probably go down. He's better when he's not taking a lot of shots.
I agree. He has always been a solid complimentary scorer, but when he is hot it does get to his head and he ends up taking more shots than he needs to be taking.
Whatever the reasons are, groin injuries, personal matters, he has not played a ton ......only 11 out of 17..... 30-32 mpg.
Has anyone here watched the Raptors a few times? They seemed like a trash team to me when the Rockets played them early on, but now they sit at 12-5, which seems crazy. How are they doing it? Please don't just quote their stats. I'm looking for observational stuff. What is their mojo? What makes them tick?
