I'm not sure you can take much of anything from the Mills games - he is not a very good QB, and much of what they're doing is to try and work around that.
The second half play calling, specifically from the later end of the 3rd on.....was very Bill O'B esk. Instead of going for the kill and playing for the win they played not to lose.....very vanilla offense. Mills has done a tremendous job of taking care of the ball. The play calling in the first half was sooooo good compared to the majority of the 2025 season.
(raises hand) I was one of those. And it may have been a disaster here, too. But trying to extrapolate anything from someone coaching the Raiders is pretty difficult. There may not be a worse non-NY franchise in the NFL (and they'd give the Giants a run - I think the Jets are clearly the worst).
His body language seems fine. He has sort of a nervous energy that the players respond to. Although I’ve recently come to realize that at least part of the reason for the OL issues might be that Caley has them trying to block a guy who DOES NOT EXIST.
I definitely wanted him, mainly because he had HC experience. I guess we dodged a bullet, but maybe he would've done better here. Regardless, I didn't like, and still don't like, the Caley hire. Frank Reich was the guy I wanted the most, and I think he could've done wonders with CJ.
Not sure how many times I watched that episode before it clicked and I realized that all of the mail for Pepe Silvia that had Charlie freaked out was just a result of his illiteracy misreading Pennsylvania
The Raiders gave him 6mil a year and then fired him. That goes to show how much of a disaster he was. He also got ran out of town in Philly, and SF. So he has had 3 completely disastrous stints in the NFL, he's 0-3, and yet you still want the guy. He also failed at UCLA. He had a good run years ago w/ Oregon, and with Ohio St where he had he had by far the best receivers out of anybody in the nation. Ohio St is still dominating this year without him.
