IIRC my thought on his realistic ceiling pre-draft to be Jamal Murray, someone who's not quite an all-star at least in the WC but can be a 3rd guy on a title contender (Murray is 2nd on a title contender but only because he plays with Jokic). I think Reed may be almost there already? It's hard to know because his improvement has come so fast it's hard to know how much of this is sustainable. At this point I'm not ready to apologize for anything, but if he ever makes an all-star team or get into All-NBA conversations? I will definitely be apologizing.
Happy to admit I was wrong. With how he started the year after summer league and a bad 1st year I thought he was trash. I'm super happy I proved I was mistaken.
While he’ll never be Steph Curry, he still can have an extremely successful NBA career. I’m glad he’s getting more time and being aggressive. He’s attacking and playing with intent. Love to see it.
I was on the Sheppard train before we drafted him. He is the guy I wanted to draft and I am glad we got him. If not we would have had to deal with him and Wemby for several years or at least until Wemby has his inevitable career ending injury that all guys his size end up having. Not wishing injury on Wemby, just acknowledging it is inevitable based on history.
Sorry, I thought the post was clear. Many ppl on this board are comparing him to curry. Hope that clears up confusion.
