It is an Exhibition game but I see why not......Duren has exploded in departments +9 ppg +1.6 rpg and they have nice players.
His flopping is super lame, but unfortunately they’re competing with okc. If you don’t counter at least some of shai’s/dort’s etc. flopping you’re just drawing dead.
Competing is good, the only team that has a chance of coming close to OKC's record are the Pistons but they are young.
Regular season record is irrelevant, only games that will matter to Denver is when they play okc for the title
Have to get healthy throughout, Joker has missed 12-15 games last year if I recall right, and Denver plummeted to 6th seed temporarily...... Bad luck and it is going to be close to the Playoffs. They are the one team that is really nothing without Joker, OKC can still win with JayDub and Chet enough to stay afloat. Especially after they found out that Ajay Mitchell plays a lot like SGA, a Homeless SGA, so SGA can rest in 4th Quarters.
Obviously denver won’t win if they’re injured, but that has nothing to do with the flopping. OKC is absolutely INCREDIBLE at it, they don’t beat Denver last year without the flopping. I hate it, but i get why jokic is doing it now also (and everyone else).
And this is why, B2Bs are trash and the NBA doing all this research to prevent soft muscle injuries...maybe get rid of back 2 backs? Denver only lost that game because they played what must have felt like a playoff game the night before. It's also BS that some teams play less B2Bs than others. Especially since we know seeding will come down to a few games. Even now there's like 4 teams in the west fighting for 2nd seed. Either get rid of them or equal them out.
I don't care how many accolades he has, seeing someone call Klay, one of my least favorite players of all time, a bum is ****ing hilarious.
This is one of the things I hate about the NBA. The so-called superstar treatment. The MVP always gets the whistle. And then everybody else follow suit just to get a fair chance. LeBron used to do it. Harden used to do it. IIRC Jokic wasn't a shameless flopper until SGA came onto the scene a few years ago.
The okc issue isn’t just shai though, dort gets them a couple extra possessions on just insane flops. You simply cannot play against okc if you are not a good flopping team because you would start every game with a 10ish point disadvantage. The only real flopper the rockets have is sengun and he’s ok at it but not great. Holliday isn’t bad but he wouldn’t really play vs okc. I 100% believe that Jokic sees it though with okc and that’s why he does it now, similar to bonds doing steroids when he say inferior guys becoming “better” than him.
