The crime rate in Singapore is a fairly good piece of evidence for the deterrent effect of corporal punishment. You give positive reinforcement for good behaviors. Negative is applied to bad behaviors.
Well he's gunning for a presidential nomination so I pay attention. It's important to me and I don't trust him. He's a bad guy. I get that goes for the vast majority but he's not someone I want in power. I do my best. That isn't the case necessarily. It would have to have been shown that the crime rate before was significantly worse, that many people believe they will get away and certainty of being caught is removed and there are no other cultural influences.
