This “plan” is so bizarre, and brazen. The whole plan is one big trust me bro. The terms make it seem as though Ukraine will become a vassal state of the United States like South Korea, but the kicker is the 10 year renewal where Russia alone in ten years can say… meh… I don’t think this is working out anymore, and go right back to attacking Kyiv.

And that’s just assuming Russia obeys the treaty. Which we all know they won’t because they never do.

Putin is failing up here. He did everything wrong with this war and he’s going to be rewarded for his evil and incompetence. Putin must really have the goods on Trump.

Anyone who says this is good because it creates peace is either lying or a damn fool who understands nothing about Eastern Europe or Europe in general.

    Idiocracy (2006)
    • Plot: The movie follows an average U.S. Army private, Joe Bauers (played by Luke Wilson), who is part of a top-secret hibernation experiment. He and a sex worker named Rita are accidentally left in hibernation for 500 years.
    • The World: They awaken to a dystopian future where humanity has become catastrophically unintelligent due to dysgenic pressures and rampant anti-intellectualism. Society is run by corporations and an equally foolish government.
    • The King/Leader Dynamic: The President of the United States, Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho (played by Terry Crews), is a former wrestler and p*rn star who perfectly embodies the idiotic leader concept. He surrounds himself with equally incompetent people, and when Joe is discovered to be the smartest person alive (simply because he has an average IQ from the past), he is tasked with solving the nation's severe problems (like crop failure due to using a sports drink to water plants).

euros were/are reliant on russian oil/gas. countries with nuclear power stations are reliant on russia for maintenance and waste processing. this includes US nuclear plants.

for a lot of countries renewables are the solution to achieve energy sovereignty.

Renewables are the solution to sovereignty in more ways than just energy when energy sovereignty is resolved. I just cannot understand why these “America First” people cannot understand that and think that even if they don’t like solar and wind, and think climate change is a hoax that maybe it’s still a good idea because oil is the main driver of foreign wars and is the main resources that wars are fought over.

But yes in the future water is actually likely to the main driver of wars as well. I get that too but still… right now the US investing in massive renewable energy infrastructure is the smartest “America First” investment we could possibly make.

Instead we are rolling out the red carpet for the bone saw dictator of the country that groomed the 9/11 attackers. Please tell me what is America First about that??

So it seems this whole plan was presented by a sanctioned Russian oligarch in charge of their sovereign wealth funds to Steven Witkoff, Trump's special envoy to Russia (who has no diplomatic background but instead is a real estate developer), and Jared Kushner during a meeting in a Miami hotel room. It appears the deal also includes unwritten development options for Witkoff and Kushner in Russia.

The plan's wording is so awkward that it is clear it is translated directly from Russian. Nobody else in the US State Department knew of it or approved it. Same for Repubs and Dems in Congress and everyone in Europe, including Ukraine. But now, the State Department is walking back their walk back.

This is a clown show of a scandal with several people acting as the Secretary of State while the actual SOS has no idea what is happening. Other countries must now decide which faction of this administration to deal with. Meanwhile, Grampy shuffles around his ballroom mock-ups and supports whoever talked to him last. And really, Jared Kushner? Who can defend that?

GOP Rep. McCaul says he would advise Ukraine not to sign Trump's current peace plan
"I would not advise Ukraine to sign" the 28-point plan, he said.

    By Kendall Wright
    November 23, 2025, 10:04 AM

Republican Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said Sunday he would advise against Ukraine signing the peace proposal that President Donald Trump has offered to end its war with Russia unless more "ironclad" security guarantees are written into the agreement.

"Without that, I would not advise Ukraine to sign this. They can't sign an agreement like Budapest and then allow Russia to invade again," McCaul told ABC News' "This Week" co-anchor Martha Raddatz.

Peace talks continue as American officials are meeting on Sunday with a Ukrainian delegation in Geneva.

The latest proposal, which was presented to Kyiv Thursday, was drafted by U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff with input from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to the White House. But it was done in coordination with Moscow and includes conditions that are widely seen as being in Russia’s favor, prompting concerns within Ukraine and Europe that it would effectively be a capitulation.

Among the concessions Ukraine is being asked to make in this proposal: limiting its military to 600,000 personnel, agreeing to never join NATO, and forcing Kyiv to give up territory in the east, including areas not yet occupied by Russia.

McCaul, a top member and former chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said he believes there's "flexibility" in Trump's 28-point plan and that his Thursday deadline for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make a decision or risk losing American support to end Russia's nearly four-year war in shouldn't be a "take it or leave it" situation.

"I think there's flexibility. I do know that Rubio said within the next 72 hours, we all know a great deal about whether this goes forward or not," McCaul said. "It's always he who has stated, the president, that he sees this as a vision, but not a done deal. So it should not be take it or leave it."

The mainstream media is not clearly reporting that Ukraine is losing at an increasingly rapid rate. Trump, whom I am not a fan of, is trying to offer the desperate Ukrainians an alternative to a collapse. Neither NATO or the US has had any intention of putting a huge number of troops on the ground which is the only possible way to avoid Ukraine defeat. This suggests that these leaders don't believe that Putin and Russia are the new NAZIS driving toward the English Channel.

Trump could care less about dead Ukrainians or Russians. He just wants to not be the loser president when the collapse occurs or perhaps win a Peace Prize. Maybe he wants peace so he can put Trump Hotels in both Kiev and Russia and do business deals.

Russia might not even accept this proposal as it will only get better soon as the facts on the ground change.

Hopefully for both the Ukrainians and the Russians engaged in the fighting the deal will be acceptable
