Maybe you just don't know what happened at UT football in that stretch but you should maybe ask chat gpt and then come back and see if finishing in 3rd 2 years a row really doesn't meet UT standards. Arch has been a disappointment based on the absurd hype around him, not really any way to argue around that. However when you look past that, and grade him on the level of a normal player he has shown a ton of progress as the season has gone on. I'm assuming he'll be back after the disappointing season, and he could still live up to the Heisman hype yet. If he would have been remotely at this level to start the season, no question we beat Ohio St. and Florida.
If they let him play CB and he gets a pick 6, I'm back on the Heisman train. For now, Arch has shown good growth, but still far from Heisman worthy. He misses some open receivers against stronger competition, and occasionally is lazy that affects his mechanics. Let's hope he can put it all together for next season.
Honestly, after the hype this season, I have a hard time believing he'll be the #1 QB in next year's draft at his current progression unless he takes a huge jump.
