I still love James Harden, and it makes me sad to see some of the hate he gets even on this forum after giving us the prime of his career, balling his @ss off for nearly a decade, desperately carrying this team on his back. I kinda had some hope we might go after him this summer to reunite him with Durant, and I think that coulda been pretty epic.

... But with all that said, I'm not tryna trade Reed for Harden at this stage of his career. Especially with a FRP. GTFO.

The price for Harden is the same price we paid for Durant - our least favorite member of our young core, a starting caliber veteran, a lottery pick, and a bunch of 2nd round picks. That looks like this:

To HOU: Harden, Beal's contract for matching
To LAC: Eason, DFS, Fred's contract for matching, any 1st round pick they want, and a couple of 2nds

PG: Harden / Shepherd / Holiday
    SG: Thompson / Okogie
    SF: Durant / Tate
    PF: Smith / Green
    C: Sengun / Adams / Capela

That is a huge team and easily the best offense in the league.

I doubt Ballmer is that intelligent in terms of the NBA.....he sure knows about Computers.

Harden with an efficient 31 points in 31 minutes. The time to strike is now. Once in a lifetime opportunity to reunite with a Rockers legend, still putting up big numbers, that could take us over the top.

No wing depth. I would possibly add Capela instead of DFS. Maybe pick up another back up Center

Yes, Fred, Tari, Capela, and picks for Harden works financially if you throw-in one our vet minimum players. But I think it would have to be Holiday because they would need a guard.

PG: Harden / Shepherd / Davison
    SG: Thompson / Okogie
SF: Durant / DFS / Tate
    PF: Smith / Green
    C: Sengun / Adams

You'd need insurance for Adams though. Would have to sort through the G-League and the buyout market, or maybe make a minor move for someone.

He’s doing it again. He’s been on rampage those year. It’s awesome to see! Unfortunately the only people getting talked about for balling out at an old age are LBJ and Curry

Trading Harden will almost guarantee OKC a top 3 pick

It actually looks like he's started his 2nd prime. Missing an opportunity to add him to this team (that is built to win-now) would be absolutely asinine.

Imagine if they didn’t pick FVV of Harden lol. Adding one of the best floor generals to a team that doesn’t pass the ball would be ideal

    Harden dropped 55 today

he’s playing at an All-NBA level and looks like a top 15 player easy

We have a top ranked offense this year, but when we’ve played some of these good teams, it’s completely fallen apart.

    against OKC: 22 turnovers

against Detroit: 39% shooting…needed 48 free throw attempts to score a measly 111 points

against San Antonio: 23 turnovers…only scored 110 points

against Denver: only scored 109 points…both Sengun and KD got exposed

    could do

    Harden
    Amen
    KD
    Bari
    Sengun

    or

    Harden
    Reed
    KD
    Amen
    Sengun

let Amen wreak havoc off-ball and stop trying to cosplay as a PG…have some actual PG play and spacing on the court

We’re 26th in the NBA in passes made per game, 2nd in isolation frequency, and 1st in isolation possessions per game. We’re also 27th in pace.

We’re basically playing Harden-ball already minus James Harden. So I don’t see an argument for why he wouldn’t fit here.

I think the people that are opposed to Harden are the same people that didn’t appreciate what he was doing in Houston and still carry hate toward him. I don’t think there is anything that is going to sway them toward changing that view. My favorite reason people object to Harden is literally what you covered they don’t want to watch him ISO while ironically imploring an ISO system with people that shouldn’t be running ISOs. The offense just doesn’t work against the top dogs in the West ( even while missing all stars ) and I thought the goal was to win a ring and do it now when they made the move for KD?

If you can get him, you get him. Without giving up too much of course

I gotta admit....having Harden come back and deliver a ring to the city and say having him and Durant get by OKC to do it would be some poetic **** that would be a great story.

If it were a trade where we give up little I wouldn't even be mad at it.

I bet Tilman would do it too if the price was right, just not sure where Ime stands on the whole thing.

My guess is it would take FVV and maybe Tari and a pick to get it done.

I don't have on the court worries about this though, more about chemistry. I do think Harden would be the ultimate professional, he loves the city, he'd just be happy to be back.

Ime needs Harden and Harden needs Ime. They both will have to submit to each other. Ime would have to let Harden do his thing offensively. Harden will have to actually hustle on defense for Ime.
